I felt awful for Mahi as she so violently found out about Yuvraj's true nature. But it seemed to me that this was for the best in the sense that if she had found out any other way Yuvraj would have been able to sweet talk his way out of the situtation yet again. Mahi has been confronted with his anger and his disdain towards her before but she still believed that it was a phase. She even prayed for his well being and was trying everything in her power to keep him happy. However, today when she heard him talk about his hatred towards her she had no choice but to believe him.
The scene where she entered the pool to be was symbolic of her rebirth. She is allowing the water to wash away every memory, every touch every emotion she ever felt for this man. The revelation she has had is surely burning her insides with anger and sorrow but tomorrow is a new day. She is going to emerge as a new woman, stronger and bolder like steel forged in fire.
