I really hope Tara is not a lesbian. And solely because Channel V or any Indian channel for that matter rarely has the sensibility needed to handle a gay character. Sooner or later, they are most likely to end up ruining it and turning it into a caricature. Thus, ridiculing gay people in the process.
So yes, while I would love for there to be a gay character on the show, I hope there isn't one because it will just become a reason for me to hate the show because of the way they will treat the issue.
As for Amar, it's already implied that it's going to be Sonam and Amar in the long run. They're just too blind to see it yet. Also, the show just began but yeah Amar-Sonam are the end game.
As for Tara's mystery, she ran away from home. Her real name is Richa most probably and she lies to her family about what she does just as she lies to people in Goa about who she is and what her background/past is.
That's just my theory. Now let's see what the show reveals!
