It is a different story for Priyanka though. Her affair with Akshay and SRK (proof is demanded for him) is brought up to highlight how she gets involved with married men. PC is stuck with the label that she gets involved with married men. Can she be reformed? What would it take her to be reformed?

I almost feel like women carry this tag with them. Watch out for her. She steals men, gets involved with married men. Everyone knows them for it. It becomes a part of their identity. And if the wife tolerates a cheating husband, then she is a doormat (Kajol).

Men can change, redeem themselves. Their career accomplishments are highlighted more and a snippet of their moments with family is seen as great father, great husband etc. Even their affairs are justified as it happens in BW.

@bold as if priyanka was the only one he had an affair with after he got married. he has been involved with many others after that and he isn't 'reformed' at all

twinkle is no less of a doormat than kajol in this regard

Twinkle and Kajol both come from broken homes so their wanting to offer a family to their children doesn't make them doormats but strong women.

We don't know if they are yearning for their hubby's love or just staying put because they are their kids' father.
