I started watching the show recently and have gone retrograde and watched almost all episodes now.
What is most irksome is the poor characterization of female lead's character.
The male lead-Dev Dixit is the cliched haughty business who is insensitive and thinks he rules the world.
The female lead on the other hand is a dietitian/nutritionist who is constantly refered to as a doctor ,which is faulty. She isn't a medical doctor,(please note CVs)
She maybe a phD which is a doctorate but she cannot be doing medical check ups or prescribe drugs which seems implied in the serial.
Her responses to Mr dev dixit's behavior is anything but professional. No Health professional should be behaving in such a manner.
curtness in voice towards a patient or their relative's behaviour maybe warranted at times but abusing an attendant under her breath in bengali or making faces isn't right. There should be thousands of dietitians like her that dev dixit can hire at whatever sum he is willing to pay and yet she says she is all about ethics while not following them herself.
In a professional relationship, one is not meant to act like a kid ,you are just supposed to do your job (taking care of the patient)and disappear. If one isn't able to do that,he/she shouldn't be doing that job.It is wrong to take the monthly income and yet behave like you are doing charity.
It is preposterous how it is imperative for the woman to do a job she isn't interested in and can't find another job while characterizing her as an above par professional in her field.
Both the leads are shown as immature characters who blow up at the slightest provocations.
This has been going on for years with businessmen in EK serials like yhm, but atleast maintain the ethics of a health professional.
Similar mishandling was done in the movie Khoobsurat in which the physiotherapist is seen as a reckless ,"i'll do whatever I feel like " character. That is insane to say the least.well,.It was a disney movie -loud and flashy .
At least in a long running serials these details should be looked into.
