I think ppl focus on star kids because they are highly publised but the ones who have been successful are not many.

That's what lacks for outsiders. Needs to be more scouting and when they are launched they need to be promoted well by the media

There are outsiders doing films but the media promotion by the producers has been incredibly bad you don't even realise the film is releasing.

Srat-kids or outsider doesn't matter as long as we get good movies . And as someone already mentioned there are more digital mediums now to show your talent and more chance for the talent to get recognized e.g : recently shahrukh openly offered a job to one of his fan based on the talent he showed in one of the videos .
