What a beauty it was and the underlying message. Yes the best are expected to run, run for the glory of the land they represent, the family they represent. No one is concerned about their feelings because it is their duty to run. And after they complete the run, bring success. Sacrifice them. Because that is how you get glory.
It is not just about the horse sacrifice. It is about the sacrifice of people we do daily for our own glory. The soldiers that die in borders because of power games. The freedom fighters who gave up their life for the betterment of society all belong to this category. Does anyone think of the people fighting in the borders for keeping us safe. Does anyone think of their families. Truthful answer is no. We dont. When 26/11 happened more care went to the upkeep of the terrorist than the family member of the slain policeman who catched him alive.
Because policemen and soldiers are doing their duty. They will get sacrificed. Now leave soldiers and policemen. what about in families. Every family will have someone on whose burden of expectations is kept. He or she is supposed to behave in certain way else the family pride will be lost. Let other members misbehave, cut them emotionally into pieces but they have to uphold dharma or be mute just like the animal, because sacrifice is expected out of them.
And Sita in caring for the horse shows she will understand and care for the emotions of the man on whose shoulders the burden of Raghuvansh glory will fall. With scant regard to his emotions and feelings when the society and family keeps demanding him from more, she will stand by him as his strength.
