Priyanka to Shah Rukh: Here's Where You Saw These 10 Stars First

They've won a million hearts with their performances on screen. The Khans, Aamir and Shah Rukh, are still churning out blockbusters; Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are now conquering Hollywood; Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Irrfan Khan have elevated the 'character actor' to leading man status.

All the above are household names now - but do you remember where you saw these actors before they made their mark in films? Any fan will be able to name their favourite star's debut film, but wait - some of them made their very first screen appearance much earlier.

We have a list of some of the coolest movie scenes and music videos starring your beloved celebrities before they got famous. Some of these will really surprise you.

1. Priyanka Chopra: She's ruled Bollywood for a while and is now steadily taking Hollywood by storm too. But we bet you don't remember watching Priyanka in this Bombay Vikings video. Way back in 2004, Priyanka made a special appearance in the remix of Chhod Do Aanchal Zamana Kya Kahega and in drag no less. Notice that dude dancing with the sari-clad woman during the black and white sequence? That's our very own Desi Girl dressed in a suit and sunglasses. Don't believe us? Take a look:



2. Shah Rukh Khan: Everyone knows King Khan made his television debut with Fauji and his first film was Deewana but did you know the Baadshah of Bollywood played a part in the 1989 National Award-winning film In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones. The film is about architecture students in their final year of college and SRK played a campy character among a cast that included Arundhati Roy.

3. Anushka Sharma: If you thought Anushka made her huge Bollywood debut in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan, you're wrong. Taani Partner had already made an appearance - albeit a blink and miss one - in Rajkumar Hirani's 2006 hit film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. The scene shows Sanjay Dutt aka Munna Bhai walking past a poster with Anushka's face on it. She was then a model.

4. Deepika Padukone: A year before Anushka, another actress made her big debut with Shah Rukh in 2007 hit Om Shanti Om. But chances are you were already in love with her Ajab Si Adayein before OSO. Deepika, believe it or not, starred in Himesh Reshammiya's Naam Hai Tera music video in 2006. The song was a raging success and will make you really nostalgic.



She was even part of the remix version launched later.




5. Nawazuddin Siddiqui: It was a while before this brilliant actor made his presence felt in Bollywood. Ever since 2012's Kahaani, it seems as if no film is made without Nawazuddin. But before that, he played bit parts in films like Munna Bhai MBBS and Sarfarosh. Do you remember seeing him in these films? Allow us to jog your memory.





6. Hrithik Roshan: Way, way before Kaho Na Pyar Hai made a superstar out of this actor, Hrithik acted opposite dad Rakesh Roshan and actors Rajinikanth and Sridevi in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada. Even though he was only 12-years-old at the time, Hrithik showed huge potential with both his acting and dancing skills. Here's a small glimpse:




7. Alia Bhatt: The Student Of The Year received her lesson in Acting 101 with a small role in Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta's 1999 film Sangharsh. Alia was just six-years-old at the time and, may we say, totally adorable.


8. Aamir Khan: Before he became Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist, Aamir made a junior appearance in Yaadon Ki Baaraat. This was Aamir's first appearance on screen in 1973, 15 years before Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak happened.




9. Irrfan Khan: Ask any '90s kid and they'll tell you Chandrakanta was one of their favourite shows growing up. Can you believe it, actor Irrfan Khan was also part of the cast of the hit Doordarshan show. This proves Irrfan can play just about any role.



10. Ayesha Takia: Her first film was Imitaz Ali's Socha Na Tha opposite Abhay Deol but Ayesha Takia had already made several ad films and some very popular music videos before that. She starred in Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye and DJ Aqeel's Nahin Nahin remix video, both of which are hard to forget.
