Thoughts on 10th Nov episode

Since the regular updater is away, I though I will inlcude a brief synopsis along with my views on this episode

Special guests Hridayanath Mangeshkar and Abida Parveen and Hema Malini

Hema sings an inspirational song - Zindagi ek safar hai suhana along with top 3

Results announced Abhaas out...sings Naina thag lenge. Good performance as usual...but it is a clear attempt to cash in on the popularity of this slow number that was the find of another reality show.

Shaan says the show must go on

Ishmeet - Main hoon na...v well sung. Deserves the title of romantic voice of India

Harshit - Mitwa. This song has been repeated over and over agian in all shows, was it necessary to repeat it here? Also it is not really Harshit's style though he tried hard. Good but not extraordinary.

Ishmeet - Suno na from Jhankaar beats. I am no Ishmeet fan, but his voice sounded just incredibly beautiful.👏Don't know about technical issues, though singing sounded competent to me except one place in the antara where the scale shifted slightly. But mukhra was too good.

Harshit - Ai ajnabi from Dil se. This one suited him much better and sounded really good.

As for the judges, more childish behaviour from them that is best ignored.

To be honest, it is now impossible to say who is better among the two.

I will miss Abhas, he was so full of energy. Such a cute kid, with a nice voice.

Thanks a lot for the brief update... 😊 I quite agree with you, both Ishmit and Harshit looked at par yesterday... Ishmit sang both the songs really well - his choice of songs suited his voice to the hilt... I would be happy with either of them winning...

Until a few days ago, given a choice b/w Ishmeet and Harshit I would have chosen Harshit any day.
Now that is no longer true. You have no idea how incredibly good Ishmeet sounded yesterday.
That brings me a another valid point...sometimes during the course of a contest a less talented or less trained singer may pick up the ropes sufficiently to give the best a run for their money, and these efforts should be given due credit.

That is what the judges simply don't get, they are just basing their opinions on the strength of past performances.

Ishmeet has never been one of my favorites but I really liked his suno na song from yesterday's episode. I missed the first 30 minutes or so of the episode so could not catch Abhaas' elimination.

The five regular judges are such a disappointment. They act like kids at times. Can't they learn a thing or two from Abida ji and Mangeshkar ji? How many guests have commented on the behavior of the judges already?

The behaviour of judges Adesh and Lalit Pandit is deplorable, baised or even racial Aabas is no doubt a good singer so was Toshi but both of them were elimanated not once but twice hence the two finalists are the most deserving Lalit's comments against Punjabis are in bad taste and are provoking Punjabis to vote more for Ishmeet if he wins whole credit to Lalit and Adesh

Ishmeet certainly qualifies as the MOST IMPROVED singer on VOI.

Well Put. harshit seems just ordinary .. All the drama about grandmother, and mother, is all getting overboard. Ishmeet's voice is really wonderful no doubt. But I think both of them are not probably the best of the 12. Hope the other contestants get what they deserve in theor life. All the best to them

Ishmeet sang both the songs very well specially the second one.Harshit in comparison was just average.But no comments or half hearted by Alkaji showed the ill concealed bias of so called mentors.It was left to Abida Parveen to appreciate Ishmeet.
