14 March Update

So lemme try to give an update for today's episode that I am watching right now:

Vishwaveer calls them for the actual pooja. Yug and Gauri do the aarti. Everyone joins in the prayer. Chulbuli Chachi asks Sharmila Di to also join her hands and pray. Gauri gives heart eyes towards Yug (I mean she looks fondly @ him). Kali prays to Mahadev that her voice should not prove to be an impediment between Gauri and Yug's relationship.

Vishwaveer and family are sitting in the hall. Vishwa is happy that his Princess finally agreed. He asks Neelu for an approval and Neelu smiles. Gauri is messaging Yug and her Dad teases her about it. He tells Madhuri that his dreams seem to be getting fulfilled. Madhuri thinks about being in Chulbuli and Dadi's good books because they are smart. Gauri sends a message to Yug asking him to meet her in the evening in some cafe. Yug replies to that in affirmative on text. He questions himself why he cannot place Gauri's personality with the beautiful voice he fell in love with in his head. The image he made after listening to the singing is drastically unlike Gauri.

Kali gets tea for everyone. She starts by serving Taiji and they give each other intense looks. Taiji starts off with 'Hamara Billi hummi se Meow' and Kali tells her that she is not scared of her anymore because by torturing her so much through the years, she herself killed the fear in Kali's mind regarding her. Taiji cuts her finger in carelessness while trying to come up with a comeback to Kali and Kali gives her a taste of her sarcasm. She says that Taiji has a habit of hurting others and today she has hurt herself so it must be paining even more. Taiji tells her that the Vishwa she is protecting does not regard her as anything but Gauri's Kaala Teeka. He does not give a damn about her as a person. Taiji says she is not threatened, while Kali replies ofcourse she is or her face would not have lost colour and her voice would not sound so unconvincing. It is a good thing, she should be scared from now itself. Kali warns her to beware of her as Kali is gonna unmask her real face in front of the family. Taiji says in retrospect that Kali has not understood her at all, she is that bad shadow that can convert her success into failure.

Then Kali goes to Vishwa and gives him the tea. He smiles and blesses her and she has tears in her eyes. She then serves tea to an unimpressed Madhuri, Gauri who thanks her with a sweet smile and Neelu. She gives an evil look to Taiji and vice versa.

Gauri asks Kali how she looks dressed up for the date. Kali says she looks okay. Gauri is disheartened and tells her what does she mean by okay? She is going to see Yug. Kali says then she is looking really bad and lets her know that guys like Yug like traditional girls* on which Gauri says, "You mean behenji types?" Kali makes her change into a salwar suit and wear a bindi which Gauri is not in favor of. She stops Gauri from leaving and once more advices her to tell him the truth. Gauri completely avoids the topic and leaves, but then comes and gives Kali a hug before leaving. Kali tries to make her understand but then decides to talk to her again after she comes back home. She shall have to reveal the truth in front of Yug. Taiji as usual is eavesdropping and gives an angry look from the corner.

Yug and Gauri are at the coffee place and there is a guy singing Chahu Main Ya Naa**. Gauri suddenly remembers its Karaoke Night on Thursdays and just prays Yug does not ask her to sing. Yug tells her she looks different today. He has never seen her in a traditional avatar before this. Gauri smiles. He compliments her by saying the bindi suits her. Yug then inquires about her hobbies and she blurts out how much she fashion is her passion and names brands like Gucci, Channel and Louis Vuitton. She confesses how much she loves designer stuff and is just waiting for the Paris Fashion Week collection to be released in Mithila so she can buy it and show off. Yug's face is that of immense surprise because he expected her to say something on the lines of how singing is her true calling.

When he edges her about singing, she talks about how much Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga appeals to her. She also calls Lady Gaga cool. He asks her who is her favorite in Indian classical singers and she outright exclaims 'EWW!' after which she realizes what he is targeting and tries covering it up by saying that she cannot judge who is the best, they are all talented and its tough to choose any one particular singer ***

Yug asks her that since the guy is done singing, why does she not do the honors of singing the karaoke? She gives the excuse of not being in the mood. When he tries to persuade her, she switches to the reason that she has not done riyaaz and so is not prepared to sing today. He requests her for one song. She is confused about what to do, then spots the show host. She pretends to drop her purse and shows that cafe host Rs. 1000 and asks him to stop the karaoke then itself. He abruptly ends the show. Gauri thanks her stars noone caught her. Yug looks disheartened. But she promises to sing next Thursday. He gives her a fake smile and then confesses that as he has never heard her sing live, he is not able to match her personality with the voice that has enraptured his heart.

Then the scene shifts to the house where Kalyani Taiji asks Purohit how did he let this happen and she feels like she is going to have a heart attack. Purohit ji tells her not to raise her blood pressure and that Vishwa used Kali's kundali to trap the Mishra family to agree for Gauri. Kalyani Taiji gets hyper, starts screaming and then they hatch a plan to break this marriage.

Kali asks Gauri how did she come back so soon? Did she tell Yug the truth? Gauri gets all defensive and says she is not answerable to everything Kali asks. She asks her to talk to Yug herself. Kali questions her why she is getting so angry to which Gauri exclaims he keeps bringing in Kali's voice and classical singers in the conversation.

Kali tells her not to lie anymore because that will break hearts. Gauri gets even more provoked and says its a small thing that the voice is not hers but Kali's. But since Kali is her Kaala Teeka, she obviously has a right over her voice too. Kali gives a hurt look. She tells Gauri that it is a question of her integrity, it does not matter whose voice it was. Kali tells her the difference between a confession and the blame she will have to bear if her lie is revealed by someone else.

Yug is doing pushups on the lawn with earphones in his ears. But his mind is stuck on how Gauri avoided singing in the coffee place by giving very oblivious false excuses. Pishimaa comes there and tells him to stop exercising. She asks him what happened and he tries to divert the topic but she tells him he cannot lie in front of her and she can see something is definitely bothering him. Why is he so forlorn..is everything alright? He had gone to meet Gauri right? He reveals to her that nothing is okay. The one thing that drew him to Gauri was her voice and today even after finding her, she absolutely does not fit his ideal voice and she does not portray the purity and simplicity his heart heard in that singer. Pishimaa questions him then who can he see those qualities in? Is there anyone else who fits his criteria? Whose voice has the purity he likes? The frame freezes on Yug's thoughtful face.

Precap: Someone makes a call to Dadi and she asks the caller if he is drunk or something. He lets her know of the kundali not being Gauri's and asks her to get it checked again. She asks him who he is but the caller says just think of me as a 'shubh chintak'. Dadi says that is the only reason that she was accepting Gauri in the house. But Vishwaveer Jha is manipulative, he has spent 14 years in jail.
