I know Ram Kayeki scene was a fictional representation still I liked the hidden meanings of their conversation.
Ram saying that a new phase is about to start in my life, that is so true. Vanvaas was a completely new track in his life. Being first born of the King his ascending the throne was not a big deal but vanvaas was. It was completely different than what others thought would happen in his life. From that point his life took a 180 degree turn. He was about to be crowned as King and suddenly he was banished from the same kingdom. A prince in one moment an ascetic in another.
He also asked his mother to bless him so that his actions and decisions add to the glory of his linage. And that is what exactly happened, Raghukul became immortal because of him.
Kiyeki blessed him saying may you start a new 'pravaha' in Raghukul ki 'Dhara'. That wish came out to be true. What Ram did was unheard of, even centuries later he is seen as an ideal man. Raghukul was already known for their vachan palan but Ram was the first person who made great sacrifices to keep his father's words. Those vachan were not his, he was not bound to keep them. I don't know how true it is but heard that even Dussharat tried to stop him by saying that those were my promises not yours.
Later Bharat denied sitting on throne instead he kept Ram's slippers there. This again was a new 'Dhara' which was a result of Ram's decision.
Ayodhya today is considered to be one of the most holy city among Hindus because of Ram. Ram Rajya is considered to be an epitome to peace, prosperity and happiness. Raghukul reached the peak of it's fame because of Ram. The blessings that he sought from his mother turned out to b true, word by word.
