Posting in this forum after some time. But this is the dialogue I liked. But to be frank it was a double edged sword.
Yes what Dev did was absolute madness. To get hold of a doctor by tarnishing her reputation for being the personal nutritionist for his mother. And what Sonakshi said also is right. You mother would have given you values. Is this you treat someone. You dont have values.
But then Sonakshi has not understood Dev's journey. I am sure for having food for a time his mother would have been forced to do something very disgusting which she would not have done any other time. Yes to feed her 4 children she might have needed money and for that money someone would have blackmailed her, made her desperate and there is something in Ishwari's past which Dev knows that made him do what he did.
Yes money can make people do what they wont do otherwise when conditions are desperate and you have no option to meet your basic necessities. It is always easy to sit in a home where you get food , clothing and talk about reputation, values and morality. When there is no roof over your head, when you are hungry, and when you dont have clothes to cover yourself then the question of morality comes.
Dev has not asked Sonakshi to do any disgusting task or any task for that matter which is self depreciating. He just wanted to give his mother personal care and he thought with money he can buy it. We can call him cheap if he had used his wealth to demand any unethical thing from Sonakshi like a ONS or even a continuing affair for pleasure jeopardizing her life.
Sonakshi has to understand wealth has its value and at times you really need it. No morality helps.
Now Dev. Yes his mother may have been exploited. But whatever be the reason is it right to exploit someone else. Should he follow the path of his mother's exploiters or should he use his wealth and power to stop such kind of exploitation.
He needs to do the latter. He has to use wealth the right way. Not for making deals. Not for exploiting others. He has to learn that art
Both Dev and Sonakshi has to understand what real wealth is and how that wealth has to be used.
