One premiere,two outfits!

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dress change stood out at the premiere of Saawariya which was attended by the who's who of B-Town

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE: Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the Saawariya stars Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.

The premiere of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya at IMAX Adlabs, Wadala, on Thursday night was a starry affair. Except for the Bachchans, the who's who of Bollywood who were in town attended the event. The big night of the Saawariya duo — Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor had its share of highs and lows. Here's the lowdown...

Dress circle

Before the screening, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attired in black but post the screening, he emerged in a red kurta! When did he change? During the interval? Or was it a case of seeing red? Your guess is good as ours.

Playing hostess

Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant didn't pay any heed to the buzz linking her with Bhansali. She appeared very comfy mingling with his family. In a sheer black sari, she gave Sanjay's mom Leela company and made sure she was doing alright. We also saw her seeking feedbacks from the actors post the screening. Well, well, looks like something is cooking alright!

Welcome note

Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor were standing at the entrance welcoming each and every guest personally. Standing next to Ranbir was his mom Neetu Singh who constantly checked on Sonam's make-up and hair. Both Ranbir and Sonam's khandaans turned up for the big night.

The thespian

The overdone Rakhi Sawant along with beau Abhishek Awasthi was most excited to meet Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. We overheard Saira tell Rakhi she was looking very pretty. That definitely must have made Rakhi's night.

The ex files

Extreme measures were taken to make sure that ex-flames Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur didn't bump into each other. While Bebo walked hand-in-hand with Saif; Shahid arrived later all alone and was seen enjoying the company of his designer friend Shabina Khan.

Jarring notes

Bhansali was furious with the cinema hall folk when they started the screening in one of the halls early. This auditorium had the big names. He also went out of his way to see that no one missed the second half. He personally walked up to each attendee and asked them to return to their respective screening halls after the interval.

LET'S GO QUICK: Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor arrived hand-in-hand. 10 minutes later, Shahid Kapur arrived alone. Later he had designer Shabina Kapoor for company (below)
