I've noticed that TEI gives at least one filler episode per week that simmers things down. It is tough on the creatives to give the best episodes one after another when they have no breaks. I'm kind of glad that it wasn't fluff episode but actually was written with a lot of thought. The episode acted as a transition towards what will happen next since we've reached the high point.

The episode started off with Twinkle crying to Leela. I loved how she said that now things were getting better and she thought she was just so much close to have him forever by her side in every way but it seems inevitable. What I love about Twinkle's character is despite understanding everything, she begs for ray of hope. She doesn't want herself to understand everything that she is able to. She roots for her own innocence and it's such a refreshing change to see a character as such as Twinkle on Indian TV. I loved how Leela exclaimed that to build a strong foundation, you would have to pour every little fear of yours to your partner. That the whole reason Kunj was angry at her was because she decided to not tell the only person she could've shared everything with. Despite acknowledging that she committed a mistake, I loved how Twinkle said that he needs to have faith in her decisions. He needs to understand why she took the decision!

The montage of the show is from the promo where after handing the rose to Twinkle, Kunj backs away and ends up burning in flames lit by Yuvraj while Twinkle continues to exclaim. I am so glad they changed the montage back because that promo perfectly showcased this whole track with Yuvi taking away the attention of Kunj and Twinkle from their actual relationship.

Kunj has shown to be a very grounded and familial person with only one flaw. His rage knows no bounds. If you hurt anyone he cares about, he will not leave you alone. Although he regrets his rage right after, he usually ends up making the worst choices whenever he is blinded by rage. He almost manhandled Twinkle after the karva-chauth when his mother told his that Twinkle insulted his father. He didn't even verify her side of the story and ask for her reasoning. He slapped Twinkle when Bebe fell down the stairs. Although he apologized right after, and Twinkle being a person who couldn't hold grudges even if she wanted to, forgave him readily. During Mama jigs anniversary, Twinkle wore a short dress and it ended up being a big deal which ended with Surjeet almost throwing Twinkle out. Instead of hearing her story out, he was always quick to yell back at her because of the drama that would escalate among his family members. Kunj's protective instinct doesn't allow him to think through his anger and that anger has once again bursted because of him not being in control. And the person who could've handed him some control over the situation was once again Twinkle who has previously bore all his tantrums and easily forgiven him which will not be the case this time.
>Twinkle has called Kunj "sadoo Sarna" after their first few interactions. His displeasure for Twinkle came from the fact that because of her, his dad was being mean to his mother; something that reflected in his behavior when he was forced to interact with her.

Kunj needs to learn to respect her decisions instead of dismissing them and only once he listens to her side of the story, would there be reconciliation from both sides and both of them would get the ability to start over like they've been wanting to.

The colors of Twinkle's clothes were so apt. The ivory champagne color with pink was one the perfect mixes to go with. Ivory can represent someone with virtue and chastity but also someone who had been secluded mentally and psychically because of personal challenges which Twinkle has been. The hint of silver adds playfulness which has been lacking in Twinkle's behavior since quite a while but returned once Kunj's suggestion of them trying to date each other. The Pink color adds on the sensitive touch and the new found feelings Twinkle has regarding Kunj which has intensified Twinkle' reaction towards Kunj's dismissal of her decisions.

I loved how she called on to Baba ji immediately once she came out. The only person who will unconditionally stand by herself without reminding her of her mistake would be her faith in herself and God. Just as soon as she wishes, I loved how Kunj walked out. She smiled in relief seeing him and to finally see him look at her without the anger but it wasn't enough for him. Everything she did came back rushing towards him.
I loved how he turned away from her in anger and then her white duppatta flew in his face. Such a symbolic moment because Kunj and Twinkle are bonded by the decision of Baba ji and they've been protected n their relationship because of Baba ji. Standing under open skies, the wind blows and not any other, but her white duppatta covers his face. Duppatta is symbolic of honor and virtue that it helps preserves of a woman. White is a color of purity, cleanliness and virtue. Kunj knows that Twinkle is not resposnsible for anything that has happened but he needs to put someone responsible in order for himself to feel in-control. Reason why he throws away her dupatta carelessly. Despite knowing that Twinkle is not wrong, he wants her to justify herself with anything for that matter because hiding the matter from him to not hurt him didn't turn out the way she had hoped. I think the scene was beautifully captured.

The next morning scene was so perfect yet heartbreaking! Firstly, he is sleeping on the couch regardless of the fact that she is not present there. Then the first words out of his mouth are Twinkle. He's sleeping on the couch but his hands still reaches out towards the other side to see if Twinkle is there. It was literally so heartbreaking. On the other side, Twinkle wakes him and only answers what are the daily questions. The part that stands out in terms of using critical lens is that Twinkle tells him that once she is done with the bathroom, she'll get his coffee. And Kunj replies back that please don't take long and bring him coffee.

Typically people in the morning shower, brush their teeth , wash faces and all that lovely jazz. That symbolizes cleansing. I earlier said that Kunj is not ready to accept Twinkle's reasoning over her protecting him by hiding the truth but he over here is literally asking, after simmering down to explain everything to him and make him understand her. While it is unfair of Kunj to ask such a question, it'll be first time that Kunj will ask Twinkle her side of the story in a dispute. Baby steps you guys. Baby steps.

Next up is the coffee. Coffee symbolizes comfort and nourishment. It is typically a drink one takes as a reward after a hard day or before starting the day to keep them energized and gives them the ability to deal with stress. Kunj will ask Twinkle to come back and help him figure himself out. Kunj has said before that twinkle's presence and her smile de-stresses him. The coffee symbolizes Twinkle's ability to smoothen Kunj's life that is in chaos right now.

>> Accoding the antakshari set that was shown, the end game of what might follow was revealed. I am not going to quote what I wrote because it's a lot of stuff so please check up on the analysis if you want to. Index link is in signature. I'm going to summarize what will happen. *Kunj pulled the whole jealousy stunt to make Twinkle realize that she was wrong and she needs him while in reality, Twinkle can handle herself even after heartbreaks. It is Kunj who needs her. Once the atmosphere is settled after Manohar and Usha reunite, Kunj will get an approval from not any other mothers, but his own mother and the he will want Twinkle to be back. While Twinkle will comply to come back to the Sarna house, she won't give Kunj the right of a husband until he himself proves that he is worthy of her affections because till today Twinkle has believed that she is worthy whereas Kunj has expressed that they would want time away. Instead of redemption, what we might witness afterwards is the cementing of understanding. A word Leela used in her conversation with Twinkle. Once they both understand what hey need from each other, and learn to accept each other's decisions instead of dismissing, only then would everything fall in place and they can start over.*

This track basically leads towards Twinkle and Kunj starting their relationship over with equal footing. Both accepted by each other and by each other's families in every aspect.

Kunj wakes up and dresses in a light-turquoise-blue color shirt. That color symbolizes energy, serenity and wisdom. Kunj's anger is not gone. His disappointment in Twinkle is still lingering nd why shouldn't it be. His father is hanging between life and death and his mother is most upset. But his judgment is not clouded anymore. Kunj is tired. He is weary. Kunj is the person everyone looks at when it comes for time to act. He is the person who is providing comfort to his mother and Bebe and emotional support is always more draining then physical support. I loved the somber expression on Sidhant's face as he walked down the stairs and only sighed hearing Leela and Bebe's conversation.

I mentioned before that Leela and bebe are going to be the spectators of the whole ordeal. Leela will agree with Kunj and Usha but nothing will budge until Usha stamps the whole operation where as Leela and Bebe's little intervention might result in success. I really liked this aspect because Kunj was shown to be really close to his mom and now with everything that is happening, we see that while he does consider the other mother-figure in his lives to be important, the most important lady in his life still is his mother.

In arranged marriages, when problems arise in the beginning of the marriage, usually the elders of the family come in to solve the matter. I really liked how the two ladies came together to make sure that communication between the two isn't stopped. The thing is communication flow helps solve the matter and it answers so many questions so it is very important for both Twinkle and Kunj to communicate with each other during this whole ordeal in order for them to keep there relationship stable.

When Kunj walks in towards Twinkle, she is wearing black and she is talking to Baba ji. What I really loved about the whole scene was that Twinkle just wanted Kunj to forgive her. Twinkle has always gone way beyond for anyone that she loves and Kunj's place in her life changed the moment she touched his feet. This girl will give up everything she can just to have her Kunj besides herself. Despite knowing that she is not wrong, she just wants him to not be angry at her. Considering Twinkle is a protagonist, I'm sure that her wearing doesn't represent any of the negative connotations that are attached to the color. Instead I think it signified her fear for their relationship. In Hinduism, black is the color that is associated with Maa Kali who has the ability to crush anger. I think that really works well in this case because Kunj is super angry at the whole situation and Twinkle is the only one in the position to handle the weight of their relationship and fill the cracks that have come forth.

I'm glad they talked about a break. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Also Twinkle's and Kunj's motivations are entirely different. Twinkle will work towards finding the culprit and restoring the honor of the family whereas Kunj needs to understand Twinkle and restore her place in his life. Haye, half of these things were foreshadowed before and I wrote about it before too. Now it is all just cementing together to form a string of events that could lead towards the ultimate ending with Twinkle and Kunj coming together stronger then before. Not going to emphasize further into it. I think my explanation of Kunj wearing blue and how he needs to take small steps to fix everything was enough to explain why he requires a break.

Ardas is a very important prayer in Sikhism. To skim over the fact that Ardas was mentioned, the facts that are relevant are that the prayer requires a lot of patience and devotion. It embodies perseverance, understanding and faith. Ardas asks for guidance and protection of Waheguru. I think the mention of such an important prayer is very symbolic of Twinkle's devotion towards her family. This is the girl who fainted while praying for a family that didn't accept her with open arms.

Glossing over the Yuvi and Mahi's scene, alcohol intoxicates you and makes you lose your senses. Poor Yuvi is letting his guard down way too early. His walls are crumbling and the useless Mahi is going to turn very useful!

Way too long? Will reply in a while folks. Episode was amazing. Please don't take everything t heart. There are a lot of messy things in our culture and this drama only portrays that. If you want to see the change, be the change in your houses and with your friends and family. Spreading awareness about positive relationships and positive approach will help us change our society.

Totally agree, I mean it's too much to ask in my opinion for back to back sexy episodes (😆) when the dramas are meant to go on for some time and it plays 6 days a week so I don't mind the fillers where we just see adorable Twinj! This episode I agree was not exactly filler, it was significant and the dialogues/events were all needed.

COMPLETELY agree, it was one of the best scenes in the episode because of the whole mother-daughter interaction. I agree mostly with your point about how Twinkle always believes there is a ray of sunshine, she always has hope and her innocence is definitely refreshing. My favorite part (damn we are twinzies LOL my post begins similarly) was Twinkle standing up for herself and arguing that Kunj should understand too. It made me feel all relaxed because no one is being too big of an idiot right now and that's always nice 😆

Ah yes, I feel like rage is a favorite thing for CVs to experiment with with the male leads. Kunj is literally shown to be all kinds of goals but we are reminded that he too is human through his anger which causes him to behave irrationally. Sure he apologizes right after, but somehow Twinkle always becomes the victim of his rage even though we all know she is not deserving of it. And wow I completely forgot about his initial displeasure for her because of the further strain in his parents' relationship. Really shows how that is a problem that was buried but never overcome as that is the anger that drives him today.

Definitely agree that Kunj needs to respect her decisions. I mentioned that Kunj said he can't forget her actions, whose asking you to forget? You should try to understand them instead (ya dummy).

No comment on your color analysis because as always you leave me baffled (in the very good way!) Omg yes, I love how her BabaJi and her really are best friends and she always looks towards her faith to help her through tough times.

I loved how he turned away from her in anger and then her white duppatta flew in his face. Such a symbolic moment because Kunj and Twinkle are bonded by the decision of Baba ji and they've been protected n their relationship because of Baba ji. Despite knowing that Twinkle is not wrong, he wants her to justify herself with anything for that matter because hiding the matter from him to not hurt him didn't turn out the way she had hoped. I think the scene was beautifully captured.

^^ I am speechless, beautifully articulated paragraph/analysis. The entire idea of fate and honor, so well explained! Love it.

^ I really like the sound of this! Twinkle and Kunj got a new beginning, the honeymoon phase may be over but the real reforming of relationships starts now.

You know I think the reason I was feeling so tired after watching the episode was because I couldn't understand my feels. You're right, Kunj looked so done. It broke my heart to see him so weary from everything going on and Twinkle so tired from crying.

^All I have to say: YAS.

Okay thank you so much for the explanation about Ardas cause I was seriously clueless and forgot to google it.

I hope to see Mahi using her noggin and proving she really is a Taneja with the execution of this track and Yuvi's reveal! Brilliant post Areeba! 😃

I think they went in a really good way to turn a filler episode into a transitional episode. Good job and thumbs up to TEI team!

I think she realizes his position but she just wants a ray of hope that this is worth sticking around for. That the importance he has in her life is the same in his life for her! I loved the Mother-Daughter bonding. The whole track is bringing everyone's moms back!

Yeah, I think the fact that men can't deal with too much and get angry really soon is a stereotype that Indian television utilizes and experiments with. I like the combination of there flaws though. One is way too much impulsive and the other is always raging at one thing or another. I don't understand why everyone is surprised at his rage. He is Sadoo Sarna for a reason. There have been so many small things that impacted his family concerning Twinkle that he was always in a bind with his marriage to her.

Oh gosh yes!! There are two people in a relationship. Not one. In order for the relationship to work, you need to understand where the other person is coming from. Not turn the other person into yourself! I liked how this is emphasized in this show when majority of other shows romanticize this whole aspect and twist it.

Awe, I just try to be as concise as possible with colors and symbolism because they can always mean so much more.

From what I can understand honestly, this track is literally just leading both of them to stat anew by accepting each other. They got into the marriage forcefully, they were not accepted properly by either family until later on. Both were not even friends during the whole Yuvi thing. There was just a spark of rivalry and showing each other's superiority in front of one another. With the farmhouse truth out, then Twinkle started to soften towards Kunj and with Twinkle leaving Kunj for Maya, Kunj started to soften up to Twinkle.

They can't build a relationship without acceptance of each other fully in their respective roles.

I think Mahi will eventually turn into this person no one expected her to be!

Lovely post areeba. I particularly loved the dopatta scene and you have explained it beautifully. I really hope that in the upcoming episodes we get to witness scenes where Kunj acknowledges Twinkle's value in his life😳

I think she is making the same mistake that she made with yuvi by loving the wrong guy. I mean I understand that he loves his movie a lot but she is his responsibility. I think she need to be strong and move on instead of being with a guy who can't even stand up for her. I mean doesn't she have any self respect for letting people treat her that way. She did all this for his family and he says that he loves his family a lot, well open your eyes and she is your family too she is no stranger than who can you treat her like this I don't understand woman why they are with a guy who doesn't respect. How about the time when kunj knew the truth about RT being her father she easily forgive him. She could have been mad and told him I need a break because you didn't trust me and she could have not forgiven him and letting him slap you what kind of stupid love is that we'll you could f**ken talk instead of letting people hit you that's the reason you could talk. You should communicat and not take the step of violence.

The difference is that RT was well and alive. Even with his accident, twinkle knew about it right away and knew the truth before the accident happened. With Kunj's father, Kunj knew nothing until a reporter asked Twinkle whether she knew about the girl in the photos. At that point, even after wanting to, no one can help twinkle because they all knew nothing.

The thing is that there is mistake from both the sides and both sides need to be understanding about that in order to reconcile. So far only Twinkle is understanding and Kunj is just focusing not he situation.

Also, south asian culture places honor and prestige above anything else. Second comes happiness of others. Walk on any street of South Asia and ask any girl what she can do for her family, and they will all give you the same answer as Twinkle gives Kunj. She will go to extraordinary lengths to protect her family and sacrifice herself in process of it. Our patriarchal and mysoginistic culture places these expectations with a women and since generations, women have complied. Only few families encourage feminist Point of views.

With the family thing, for majority of desi men, there mother's approval accounts for the decisions of their lives. same goes for Kunj. Until his mother accepts his wife wholeheartedly, until then Twinkle will not be part of the family in Kunj's eyes. And vice versa from Usha's side.

I really enjoyed your comment!

My most fav scene was when twinkle asked kunj to turn once in her inner mind then he turned was superb...
S they need to workout on their relationship once this mannu fiasco gets over...
Moreover I want kunj and mainly usha apologize to twinkle for the way they behaved..I mean she must return sarna mansion with all respect tat she deserves... I still can't accept the fact usha slapped twinkle ...this break will make kunj realize her value and importance in his life...

Yes, that's something I love the most! The show started out without everyone and their respective moms and now we get to see all those equations again and no matter how annoying Anita and Usha are, I like seeing them with their sons.

Seriously they use that stereotype everywhere. My last favorite male lead, Asad from Qubool Hai was crazy with his rage and I'm like whoops here we go again with Kunj! I definitely agree, the whole opposite personalities but their goodness uniting them makes me all happy. True, just because his playful doesn't mean he can't have a rage and it comes out rarely, so it should be easier in that sense I guess for us to accept (??).

Yes, omg! Twinkle is not trying to become like Kunj and he definitely isn't either, so I like how their individual selves are at conflict but it doesn't cause the whole twist stuff. And you definitely do a good job with the colors and numbers 😃

Agreed, I feel like as viewers we romanticized everything that happened between them, but the romance has JUST started so this really is an opportunity for them to build and understand one another in this relationship.

I was one, well still am, one of the people who really disliked Mahi LOL, so I'll be glad to see her change!
