Yug met Gauri when he met Kali for the first ever time. They 'kidnapped' Badke Papa ki Princess and took her home. He spoke to her on the phone as Gauri and she cut the phone. He met her again when he dashed into her at Cafe Choco Pit and she was hella rude to him. Then he kinda saw her (she had a veil on her face) after Kali saved her from some gundas and they both escorted her back home in the bus. But he knew her only as Badke Papa ki Princess and not the Gauri Jha he was looking for.

Whereas he saw Kali protecting Neelu from getting killed and she acknowledged him as her brother, hence, he assumed he was getting hitched to Kali.

Now that he knows the truth, he is gonna be in for a huge shock.
