Hello all! Am Mahishee but you can call me Mahi😃
I was attracted by the unique storyline of the show, away from saas bahu, daayans, naagins and typical love stories...
Am here to present Episodic Analysis of Day one
So let me begin!
The story begins in today's world but soon slips into the bygone era by the portrayal of a small village of Maharashtra.
Episode One
A Fond Childhood-- It was evident from Devika's talks and also the flashback that the two sisters had a loving childhood. Also the fact that Ketaki knew that her Tai aka Kalyani loved Mograas, could only be possible when they would have had a really close bond in olden days. Another scene confirms it when in the flashback,Ketaki very lovingly runs behind her and tells her that she can't stay a minute without her. They were inseparable long back. And this also intenfies the suspense of their present strained relation.
Master Of Music-- Kalyani was a real gem at singing. Trained and moulded from the tender age of 13, she indeed had a great command over music. In one of her rehearsals, she not only effortlessly sings well but also catches a slight fault of a musician in the Taal. Her father too feels it and says that she has the vass of Goddess of Music, Saraswati, in her throat.
She is also a mature elder sister who knows to respect elders, is eager to learn and is a responsible Tai.
Lack Of Respect For The Real Art: Rajaram, a real singing talent, fails to earn a decent livelihood in the field of classical music as the people have nowadays resorted to cheap dances, entertaining movies. No one values the real art, the classical music. Having his natyagriha, his life, Rang Sangeet, on rent, he is unable to repay its loan. And moreover,he is forced by his brother to change his attitude about classical music and indulge in Laavanis. Later, his Aai also forces him to give up his love for classical music and sell his natyagriha. It is indeed sad that today we fail to respect the original form of art and music and the worthy talents have to either give up on it or change to cheap art.
Overall: The serial had a good kick-start, thumbs up from my side. The contrasting relations between the adorable Ketaki and Kalyani is a treat to watch! I loved Devika and also Rajaraam.
The granny shown was also cute and her antics were fun, specially with Devika and in the bus.
So that's enough of rambling I guess😆
Would love to hear your views too...
Love
Mahishee.
