Sumiko- everybody lived happily

While in the water he met a mermaid

She had golden hair ,blue eyes, silver scales,a diamond shaped face,sparkling teeth and skin as white as snow.Her features were chiseled and sharp and had a beautiful proportion,her lips were shaped like the bow of a bow and arrow,her eyes had a smudged look, she had a nymph like quality in her expression and she was simply out of this world

In a sweet voice she said - please help me

Raman was surprised to hear a human voice and looked around

Then he got a bit startled when he saw her but went towards her slowly

My scales have got caught in this floating branch- please help me

Raman was astounded by her looks .He had never seen anything so gorgeous before

For a moment he stared at her and then realising she was a mermaid cautiously moved forward and helped to extricate her scales

Thank you - she whispered

Raman said - no no- wait tell me who are you and where do you come from

She told him she was originally a human but upset an expectant dolphin and was cursed to be a mermaid.But she went on to say - I have got used to it I am happy now

Don't you want to return to being a human

Yes she said but then for that a human has to marry me

Oh said Raman

Not any human

No saiid Raman, then what kind

Well he has to be married and divorced with two children and then married again and the child of the second marriage should be nurtured in the womb of the first wife - well she said rather forlornly

Can anything so bizarre ever happen

Raman looked at her and slowly smiled - yes he said it can

I fit the bill

She looked at him coyly

Then will you marry me

Raman hesitated and then said yes

Together they went down into the depths and met the Mermaid Queen

She gave her blessings and off they went

As they surfaced she shed her scales and tail and her limbs came back

Raman helped her stand and take the first few steps on her new legs

Then they went to a nearby temple and got married

Ishita spent the rest of her life in the mountains

Nidhi spent the rest of her life looking out of the window ,waiting for Raman

Sarika spent the rest of her life informing Ashok about what was happening around her

Shagun spent the rest of her life bringing up three children

The Bhallas and the Iyers became prematurely senile

Vandu started Alcoholic aenonemous

Bala left Vandu and married Simmi

Vandu later married Suraj

ACP Abhishek took to trekking and found Ishita and married her

Dr Paul spent the rest of his days following Shagun

Romi left the house

Pallavi married Ashok

And everybody lived happily after
