It's Balaji tradition. After every generation leap they introduce a new character and hype her as the next 'lead'. Some time later the character either disappears or fades into the background. Kasak was originally introduced as the next Prerna (they even filmed the entire title song on Kasak-Shravan). What happened? Nothing. 😆
