If Pragya tells the truth after hearing Tanu explicitly saying that Pragya will say this to you of course Abhi will defend Tanu.
So back to the drawing board. Pragya should amp up her Mogambo avatar and start putting Tanu on the defensive so that she doesn't have time to lay ground work in order for her to manipulate Abhi further. She has to create a situation where Tanu should be running around and trying to keep the truth from coming out. Put on pressure from the "watchman" blackmailer and the other as herself with the divorce.
Now Pragya has the upper hand in the divorce. Abhi has already realised this and doesn't think he can approach Pragya with the idea of divorce because if he does she will say no. He said he was going to get Dadi to approach her. Pragya can use the divorce to box Abhi and Tanu in by getting them to sacrifice more of their money, contracts etc. Basically I'll give you a divorce if I can benefit from it. Now that would not be surprising to Abhi nor Tanu because they believe she's changed and become moneyminded.
During divorce negotiations Abhi may want to have some of his earning for raising the child and Pragya may agree to set up a fund and one of the lawyers may suggest to have a DNA test done for legal purposes. Pragya will think it's a good idea. Tanu will obviously use her guilt trip on Abhi like look she's accusing me of infidelity. Abhi will be angry but Pragya can counter with if you have nothing to worry about then why not? And she can hold her ground saying she won't divorce until the test is done. Abhi will agree to it in order to get the divorce. Tanu can always argue that Pragya will fudge that test in her favor to deny the divorce and keep her money. In which case Pragya can suggest they can do a second test one where Abhi can go to any clinic he wants and submit the DNA under a false name so that Pragya nor anyone else can alter that sample, since Abhi will be the only one to know what name he submitted the test under. if both test results are the same then they will for sure know who is trying to manipulate the results. It would be best if Tanu wasn't aware of the second test. And of course there is always a possibility of Nikhil, Tanu and even Alia following Abhi and getting a hold of the second sample by bribing a clerk.
Of course this DNA testing will just make Pragya a target and Tanu may just be tempted to kill Pragya off first so that she won't need a divorce or a DNA test. Since Pragya is the only thing standing in the way of her marriage to Abhi. And Pragya would be bigger threat to her than paralyzed Sarla. So in a way Tanu will divert all her energy into getting rid of Pragya. Meanwhile Sarla can be moved a hospital one with a chance of treatment. Sarla can be admitted under a false name or even at a different hospital and have someone set up a room for her at the hospital so if anyone tries to kill her they will end up in the wrong room. Hopefully one set up with cameras so that the team will know who is behind the kidnapping/murder attempt.
Pragya can also use the watchman as a distraction. Have Purab call her in front of Abhi and Tanu telling her some watchman wants to meet her that he may be of help with Sarla's kidnapping. Abhi will want to go along, Tanu will try to stop him and when that fails try to tag along. Pragya will say it might be dangerous for her since she's pregnant. Abhi will agree and Tanu will be stuck at MM. Tanu will call Nikhil to quickly do something about the watchman, before Abhi and Pragya meet at the location. Nikhil will have to rush to get there and may or may not have time to find a disguise or call for back up. Purab and Ronnie can have cameras set up to see who comes to the location. Meanwhile Purab can call up Abhi and Pragya and change the location so that no one is in danger. Abhi may get upset about having to wait for the watchman that didn't show up. Pragya can pretend to get mad at him saying you probably scared him off like the girl she was supposed to meet. They can review the footage once Nikhil leaves.
If all of this fails Pragya can always allow the divorce and then set up the wedding as a publicity event. So that they have to go through all the rituals etc instead of a quickie court wedding allowing her to buy some time in order for her to gather proof.
These scenarios can easily last a couple of weeks to a month. Enough time for the CVs to think up Alia's villianous plan for revenge, possible Bulbul return, Sarla's recovery. So that Sarla can speak up when Tabhi are at the mandap.
But if it were me I would have taken 5 mins to play the alphabet game with Sarla to spell out Nikhil's name instead of asking her to look at pictures or suggesting to throw a party so she could look at more pictures. But CVs don't like the direct approach so the ETA to Pragya and Abhi uniting seems to be at least another month from what I can see and speculate. The only thing I can hope for is that they make this entertaining.
