About the last line,maybe you're right.He still considers her his close friend.
And he has always been vocal about what a special friend she is
Like the time he told her " Tu jitna mujhe samajhti hai,utna koi nahin samajhta.Mein tere saath has sakta hun,ro sakta hun,apne dil ki har feeling share kar sakta hun"
So yeah especially the last line shows Kartik considers himself to be closer to Survi than anyone else.That he can tell her everything,even if that involves saying rude things in a fit of anger.
Also he feels like he does possess the right to do so cause the one time he scolded her & she seemed upset he said to her " Mere dantne se tu naaraz hai.Mera itna bhi haq nahin banta kya tujhpe"
And yes the way he treats Survi is different from how he behaves with others.
Maybe this dialogue of his shows why " Mein Survi se kaafi ummeed rakhta hun"
He just has way too many expectations from her.Kartik has always marvelled at her level of maturity,about how sensible she is.Maybe keeping that in mind,he expects her to behave likewise & when she doesn't he is disappointed maybe.
Remember when Kartik comes to Dubai to take Survi with him,but Survi doesn't want to go,rather wanted to stay with Shrikant,he loses his cool & says " Mumbai mein toh itni badi badi baatein karti thi,badi mature banti thi,ab ise kya ho gaya.Itni si baat ise samajh kyun nahin aa rahi "

About the infamous lines,after leap right till he found out Survi was innocent all along,that time he uttered the words " Mein tumhari shakal tak dekhna nahin chahta" when Survi admitted to have pushed Lata,I think was the only time when he really meant every word of it
Uske baad se usko jab bhi gussa aata hai,jo uske man mein aaya,wohi woh bol dalta hai 😆 Kyunki everytime he says those harsh things & then right after when he realises he is gonna lose Survi or anything he breaks down totally
Yeh hamaara special case Kartya hai.Thoda gussewala hai par ek dum khara sona hai 😆😳
" but the last scene where he lays on the floor and tries to sleep, that broke my heart. 😭 All my anger went away." 😆 That's the plan 😆
