I think Anu Malik winning for MHN over Madan-mohan for Veer-Zaara or even ARR for Swades was pretty unfair

Veer-Zaara had some timeless songs like Do Pal Ruka, Yeh Hum aa gaye kaha, Aisa des hai mera, Tere liye, Aaya tere dar par...Actually I love the entire album 😆

Swades also had some great compositions- Yeh taara woh taara, Yeh jo des hai tera, yun hi chala chal and ofcourse the heartwarming background score...

I dont think any of MHN's songs can hold a candle to any of the above numbers. I am not saying the songs are bad, they are very good infact. But they dont remain in the heart like the songs from Veer-Zaara and Swades.
