Was it a Male Ego or Concern for Daughter

If you ask me...its male ego rather than concern for daughters...if it was concern for daughters he would not want to break swasan marriage and wants both his daughters to move on...he would have understand swara's pain...and will understand that its not easy for ragini to move on...so its a male ego not concern of a father...laksh's slapped hurt his male ego thus he is giving punishment to sanskaar...

I dont even find shekhar to be a man...where male ego arises.

Any father will always think of think of their child's happiness first, no ego , pride would overcome the need to see ur child happy. I know off parents who sacrifice everything to of humiliation just to ensure their child's happiness. He was slapped by Laksh so since he can't get back at Laksh he is trying to punish sanskaar. Even if he asked her to make that vow in anger after his parents telling he was wrong if he was concern end for his daughter he would have released her from that promise knowing full well bthat sanskaar love and commitment to swara can never be faulted. Y didn't all these concerns abt kavita engagement / swasan divorce NVR enter his mind when sanskaar asked for swaras hand in marriage he hugged sanskaar trysting swara to him.when sanskaar own family had doubts when he announced he was marrying kavita for swara a few hours earlier he see he us with sanskaar not even asking how it will help swara or what wud happen to her when she finds out abt sanskaar marrying kavitha.why now bring up the past which didn't affect him a few hours ago cos in all off that tym he wasn't slapped so now its his inflated ego that's taking all these decisions.
