Krish was clearly mentioned as the yuvraj of the local family. There was conversation around if the bhavisyavani that devrakshi will dance again at this big puja that was going to be performed by the yuvraj.
Journey from Garuda dev to devi maa ->>> I was talking about changing of gods in the prior birth only.
In most hindu families, if you have a isht dev (a primary god), that is one you pray too. This gets multiplied by 10 when you are priest/semi-priest to a certain demi-god - like here devrakshika family and the royal family are devoted to Garud aDev. Such persons cannot/do not pray to other gods. Their isht-dev is a part of their being and in the moments of despair, they will only call their isht-dev.
I was surprised when Manu is shown praying to Devi maa to get her powers to fight the snakes, considering she had taken oath to follow Garuda dev.
This may be a creative liberty or CVs were unable to build-up enough story power around the Garuda's story (one of the minor mythological figures, mentioned only cursorily in only a few hindu books). Therefore decided to go back to a more well-known god-figures ie devi maa.
Sorry for a long lesson in religion. 😊
