Hey Tarun I think you have been away from the show therefore could not connect to it . As a standalone episode it may seem a bit kiddish and flimsy but from the character point of view it made sense.
Now the issues you mention about him being a lawyer and not a pandit or any such plots we all agree at the illogical ness of these events but this is a desi show . They never make much sense else we would never have a nagin show or a bhoot show. People do watch them still.
The story had to move ahead specially Viplav getting to know of 2 evils now this mom and Trip. He does not know the extent but he has taken care of the biggest threat i.e. To seperate them . They may still have to be seperate and this is what is to be seen.
I think the leads are a dynamo together and certain scenes are done beautifully like Raj Lakshmi dancing seeing beautiful weather as if knowing the two are getting married.
