Bihaan came out of the washroom freshly bathed, with nothing but a white towel wrapped around his sculpted waist. Water droplets reluctantly dripped off his wet hair and torso. He stood in front of the mirror checking out his flexed muscles. "Wah B for Bihan Pandey tumhaare B for Biceps toh B for badhiya hain." He posed in various ways and admired himself. Bihaan being a fitness freak had worked hard on his body and toned it.
He dropped his hair brush when he heard a loud shriek coming from outside his bedroom. The sound was familiar. It was Thapki but why was her screaming her lungs out? He turned around and Thapki ran inside the room dashing into him. He supported her by holding her waist. Her eyes were screwed shut and her breathing was heavy. Bihaan stood there admiring her cuteness. His lips curled into a smile. His heart was beating fast and maybe the loud sound of it made Thapki open her eyes. Their eyes met and locked in a gaze. Both their hearts are racing. A few moments later both realize the closeness and sprang apart.
Thapki didn't understand why but she drawn to Bihaan and couldn't take her eyes off him. She checked him from top to bottom. Bihaan suddenly realized that he was standing in front of Thapki just a towel. He covered his bare chest with his crossed hands and she covered her eyes. He picked his clothes laid on the bed ran and hid in the washroom. He then opened the door a little and snuck his head out.
"Oye chuk chuk gaadi! Ye Rajdhani ki speed mein kyun bhaag rahi thi?"
"Wo... co co cockroach tha."
"Toh kya kha jata tumhe?"
"Tumhe pata hai ki m..m..mujhe darr lagta hai."
"Tumhaare darr ki toh... Kuch karna hoga."
Bihaan shuts the washroom door and Thapki begins to think as to why she felt drawn to Bihaan. Bihaan got dressed and came out of the washroom. Thapki was still standing on the same spot Bihaan had left her.
"K.. k.. kya kar rahe ho tum?" She asked irritated as he was snapping his fingers to bring madam jee back to earth.
"Tumhe cockroach se darr lagta hai?"
Thapki nods.
"Humse darr lagta hai?"
Thapki gives him what do you think?' look.
"Hmm toh Thapki madam ko B for Bihaan Pandey se B for bilkul bhi darr nahi lagta." Bihaan roamed around the room for a couple of minutes then stood in front of Thapki and flashed a wide smile. "Mil gaya tumhaare darr ka ilaaj. Agli baar jab tumhe cockroach dikhe toh tum cockroach mein humein dekh lena... Phir tumhe darr nahi lagega."
Thapki thought it would be of no use. So she gave him a "kuch bhi... bakwas idea hai' look and left from the room but only after checking if the cockroach was still there or no.
A few days later at the breakfast table,
"Ma bauji aapko pata hai Thapki bhabhi ab bahut brave ho gayi hai." Kiran said with immense pride.
"Accha wo kaise?" Vasundhara questioned.
"Ma wo aaj subah na bhabhi aur main storeroom mein the wahan achanak ke cockroach aa gaya. Har baar ki tarah mujhe laga bhabhi darr jaayenge but unhe darr nahi laga par haan kuch minutes baad achanak se aankhein band kar di aur haath se aakhein double cover kar diya." Confusion spread on everyone's face hearing Kiran's last sentence except for Bihaan who chocked on his food.
Thapki stood in her place embarrassed. She turned slight crimson. She could not meet eyes with Bihaan... He had a child-like frown on his face as Suman gave him water.
"Humaara ho gaya hum chalte hain." Thapki rushed away from there before Bihan got up from his seat.
He searched for her everywhere in the house. "Ye chuk chuk gadi bhi na koi kaam dhang se nahi hota is ladki se. Humne jo kaha wo kiya par wo bhi kiya jo humne kaha nahi. Ek baar mil gayi na toh... Pata nahi kahan chupkar baithi hai." Bihaan searched everywhere but could not find Thapki. He huffed and puffed then a smile came to his lips. "Arre Ram Pyari tum yahan par? Tumhari dost kahan hai?" Not finding Thapki anywhere in the house he had decided to look on the terrace.
