Res for commenting in stages- this is part 1 for Chapter 1:
Dearest Saku,Huffing and puffing, late again but here I am! I know you well enough to know by now that you won't deny this latecomer a seat at the table! So I excitedly take my place at the banquet but like with drinking Elixir in sips, I shall be savouring this fare at leisure and the appreciation in form of comments will also be thus spread out:). I hope that is ok! It will allow me to comment properly like I enjoy on certain fictions. So here goes:Chapter 1:You know my attraction for titles! So the first one was oh so lovely and that section of the chapter dealing with immediately gripping too. I loved the touch of starting with Ragini and that too a Ragini burning with failure and pain- I hate this character on the show so much now, to see her get some suffering in isolation is perfect! I love the way you described the wedding card and also liked Lakshya sending her this, in pain himself but satisfied with causing her that torture she should feel!Second part- loved the bond between Durga Prasad and Swara underscored and how there was the acknowledgement of him being her true father, irrespective of biology. Also lovely way to link the symbolic marriage ritual towards the last part to bonds being broken, forged and tempered by fire.3rd part- wow! So Lakshya's perspective- so sensitively done especially as we all know how certain of us feel about him although at present my dislike is much softened on the show IF he stays a SwaSan shipper. But the whole him finally understanding Ragini or starting to was really good!I loved the part about Vasundra- as she is entirely your creation, there is less constraint to her and I was so intrigued by her interaction with her son! And I loved the Chanakya/ Chandragupta references but what may have stolen this whole chapter for me might be the Ramayan reference at the end with the incredible observation that Ravan lost due to a brother's betrayal but if the wrong brother had betrayed the wrong God- whoa! 👏👏And we are back to Ragini! A pawn indeed here of her Dad and Dadi. You could almost feel sorry for her plight. But as ever she misdirects her hate and that is her failing- she hates because a part of her wants to and as ever her target is her sister. And ahhh- that last bit! I was going to comment on 2 as well despite the 15 hour day but I want to sleep with the beauty of those individual reflections from those beautiful souls and their perfect union in their hearts, only sealed by marriage, which is the formal element of their commitment already made. The way each of their feelings for the other was described was superb and it gives me a real deep feel of wellbeing and peace so I shall park here and carry on with the next Chapter once I have had some sleep:) xoxo for now!
Saku!!! finally!!! 😊
You know, I had the doubt that Raagini and Kavita are same since her crown dialogue to Swara and then her concern for Lakshya! but I refrained from saying because so errr!! filmy twist it was!! but you wrote so perfectly the twist and the whole story!
when Swara was captured, I was so afraid! I literally choked with tears , was crying , reading her feelings when she saw accident.
in that situation too, her replies for Raagini was apt and perfect. it needs one helluva strength! (well, both Swasan have this much needed strength, keeping their thought straight in tough situations too! but I think, Swara has more ) Sanskaar's message to Lakshya!! good! that something right went in Lakshya's mind! Swasan's way of giving punishment to these frost knights was something so apt.
and then that Sanskaar coaxing Swara that he was really present! My God! you made my cry again!
Aha! finally much awaited Spring! Little tornado, prince Anshu(one of the sweetest Kiddo and character, I guess) so gonna be next Sanskaar, much finer in guidance of Sanskaar and Swara both and princess on the way!!! :)) his scene with everyone was so enjoyable. :D
Swasan's scene was very very serene, cozy and warm. :)
well, literally covered their whole journey with them, so, its feels so nice and peaceful to see them in their much deserved spring.
Saku, you don't have any idea dear! seriously I am gonna miss this story sooo much!!! hope, we will get more happy one shots or something on this loaded with spring. 😊

Sakura 🤗 So sorry I have been so late in reading it. I need to read the spin-off of Icarus too. I loved the updates. So the spring is finally here.
I did feel that Ragini and Kavita might be the same after her conversation with Laksh but I had brushed it off earlier. I loved the final confrontation between the sisters. Brilliantly done!!! I liked the fact that SwaLak still share rocky relationship. I'm glad that Swara is not forgive and forget kind of a person here. Their interaction was realistic.Awww!! Ansh is such a cutie-pie (I think he wont like the nick name though 😆) He is the true king in the making. With such awesome genes, he could take the world by storm. And the Swasan scene was so heartwarming and sublime. Loved it!!!

I am finally back having almost completed my story so that i can give the comments on this one their due. sorry it has taken me a long while to get here
I'm so sad for leaving these comments to be replied so late, please do forgive me Sapna, but I know you would understand as you are so busy yourself😊chapter 12what a beautiful start to the chapter. swara waking up sanskar. them enjoying some really amazing sweet moments together before they discuss some truths...about laksh and then sanskar keeps the karvachauth with her. the way he finds to fill her maang with his kiss...nice touch...you are good at such nice touches. and there is such a beautiful foreshadowing of that with the supposed danger to sanskar later on on the same day. beautifully put girl. i also loved that sentence "the world knows that and now so do i" that is so true. he was probably one of those who realised it too late.I always add that kind of a morning sequence once in a while for the winter tales, where they have a few war-free moments to regroup themselves. I'm so glad you found that Karvachauth touch interesting my dear, It was after all not a very original one, I mean from decades the hindi dramas show the ill effects of not doing the Karvachauth properly😆 But yes, the kiss instead of Sindoor was entirely my imagination😳when swara entered that office and called out ragini only to find kavita there instead. i felt something fishy. but i will admit i didnt think of plastic surgery. i will add more on that in the finale.Did you think, No, Saku can't be that dramatic or filmy?😆 Ah well now you know. Anyway I'm glad I could take you by surprise there😊finaleso we go into the past. kavita and ragini sharing something common, their envy and probably hatred of swara. both have knowing hurt her and sanskar then haven't they? kavita pushed swara out of her way clearly knowing the depth not just through talking to sanskar as i had thought before, but actually seeing them together. That insight in to the past was much needed in this state, as it would in the end make sense as to why Ragini was chosen to replace Kavita, they had something in common, something that Ragini could imitate as well as the true Kavi would have. Of cause, Kavi was not the cute white character Sanskar initially thought her to be, she however never returned from dead🤢i loved the strength you portrayed within swara here. the way she decides not to let them have the pleasure of seeing her break down and yet promising to destroy them uttering if they go through with their plans, knowing well she would follow through her words, the beautiful way you put forward her own internal dialogues of meeting him in her dreams before they join together ultimately. but what a diabolical plan from 'kavita' and vasu to kill the knight that mattered the most to the queen, without understanding that the other queen, as sanskar has said in this in last chapter, is too dependent on her knight too. it is about who is weaker without hers.I wanted Swara to be the SQ till the last of her strength. This just proves why she is where she is instead of the others who wished for that position. She is the queen, and she lived up to that reputation.i loved that ram and yasho moment...may be she did have a sense of future herself...I love any moment with Yasho in it😊sanskar is so well ahead of his enemy. he knows every step they have planned two steps in advance. true chess player. he knew what his brother would do...though he right said that he cannot really love him like brother anymore...his words of caution now are more for the sake of the rest of the family who still loves laksh. i loved how you worded that entire conversation. beautiful. it finally woke laksh up to the reality and he rushed to save sanskar...who turned out to be adya...Well Sanskar was the trained KING, that has to mean something in the end right? No matter how much Vasu tried to prove she belonged in that world, there is a certain difference in the way a king would fight his battle. In reality I'm not much in favor of that all forgiving and forgetting trend of tellies, I mean you can forgive someone, but the crack made in that relationship remains unless you do some serious repentance, so just because he acknowledges his mistake Sanskar wouldn't accept Lakshya as his brother again. I'm glad you loved that wake up call I gave our dear Lucky😊now coming back to ragini. i knew she wanted out and her family was forcing her...but never in the world did i think they would stoop down so so low as to make her undergo plastic surgery to become kavita. her hatred now has such a new form and you showed it aptly...why she said it was no longer about love when she spoke with laksh and why she said she was a vacuum sucking happiness and filled with hatred...hatred for being trapped in winter...and blaming swara as always for being the reason, for wanting her spring by gifting her this winter...When you come to know of what Ragini is being through, everything she said, everything "Kavita" said suddenly starts making sense right? This is the best part I like about writing/reading suspense, I see that in your works all the time, glad you could see it in mine too; it is the last few paras where everything fits in to the jigsaw, it's so fascinating then isn't it?i loved how you showed swara and sanskar thinking so much alike...the words they said to their respective siblings about unearned forgiveness...one obsessed with love and desires, driving the hatred and the other jealous of the spring and happiness that isn't destined for her, for reasons beyond her sibling, filled with hatred. That was why they were each other's destined partner I guess, they think and fight alike even without planning that move before hand.and then sanskar walks in...to save his swara. let her know he is okay. and that the other queen has taken out (supposedly) her own knight...oh the irony of that...for those few moments before he reveals the truth.and finally they are flying off to their much deserved springYes, the climax sort of leaves us with a sense of completeness right?epilogueoh this one was so so cute. warm and soothing as honey. ansh bossing his mother around and taking care of her, in the absence of his father, picking up much of his Papa's mannerisms. and ready to be the big brother. i loved the interaction with uttara and sujata and the little tyke. and then sanskar is home ...holding their small world together in their hands lovinglyamazing fantastic work and beautiful closure and apt one at that. 👏 👏 👏I'm so glad you liked the epilogue Sapna, I chose that one after trying out a few. Yes, I personally found Ansh very cute while I wrote this one. Thank you so much dear. I really adore this comment of yours!😃
