He frowned as again his call went unattended, anger bottled up inside him, from past 3 days he was trying to contact her, but she was ignoring him like plague. She avoided his texts, calls, and voice messages.
He slide his cell phone back in his pocket and stepped out of the car, he was standing outside her house. Knowing Swayum will be staying at sharon's place for a night, it was best opportunity for him to confront her without getting disturb by her possessive brother.
Instead of door, he chose window to go. He quickly climbed the pipe and reached her window, which was opened, like always. He peeped inside and found her sitting on the bed, lost in her thoughts. His eyes popped out seeing her just in her bathrobe with water dripping off her wet hair.
He jumped inside the room with thud sound, breaking her reverie. She looked up and her eyes widen when she found him there, coming her way with angry look. He stood before her, grabbing her elbow, he pulled her up with a jerk.
"What the hell do you think of yourself? huh? I'm trying to contact you from past 3 days and you are hell bent on ignoring me. What had happened?" He shouted at her, taking out all the frustration and hurt in form of anger. Her hazel filled with fear, he was looking so angry and it scared her.
"You shouldn't be caring about me, mr. singhanina, after all i'm just for show off. To show your ex girlfriend that you have moved on-" Taani spat harshly, his eyes widen as her words sinked in.
"Kriya told me everything today, she showed me the message you sent her and that photo. Chii! I can't believe you shared such intimate pic with someone. I feel ashamed-" Taani turned her head away as her eyes scorched with hot tears.
"Taani, listen to me-" Rey tried saying but she pushed him away.
"I don't want to hear anything, Rey. I trusted you so much, i loved you unconditionally, never expected anything in return and this is how you repaid me. By making fun of my feelings. Agar pyaar nahi tha toh mana kar dete, but why you faked your love and played with my heart?" She grabbed his collar and shouted at him. Rey was staring at her with blank eyes, having no idea how to make her understand that he had changed.
He accepted, initially he was with her just to prove kriya wrong, but gradually, he fell in love with her. He fell for the innocent, pure heart she possess. Her smile made him fall for her more. Every day he wake up with her thought and sleep with her thoughts. He was helplessly in love with her, but his one mistake in past, and he was on verge of losing her.
"I love you, damn it! I accept i did a mistake but now, i truly love you-" Rey shouted back, he cupped her face in his palm and made her look into his eyes but she looked away.
"I don't believe you." She mumbled, her heart was bleeding. Every moment was painful, her love was pure, her feelings for him were nothing but truth, then why he played her in such cruel way? Broke her heart like this?
"Leave, Rey. I don't want to talk to you. Please leave." Taani pleaded to him. She was not in state bear anymore pain.
"No. I'm not leaving until you hear me out."
"There is nothing left to hear, Rey. Why don't you go back to your love Kriya, now you know why she broke up with you-" Taani smiled sarcastically at him, pain was visible in her hazel orbs. Rey glared at her.
"She doesn't matter me, nor what she did in past. I no longer care for the reason she broke up with me. I'm glad she is out of my life, else i wouldn't have got you. You are on the one my heart beats for, you are the one my heart is yearning for. Give me a chance to prove myself." Rey whispered softly, looking into her eyes, searching for the love he always saw, but now, it was hidden under the pain she was in.
"How can you expect me to trust you, after whatever i have seen and heard, i no longer have faith in our relationship..oh sorry, it wasn't even a relationship, it was my one sided love." Taani laughed sadly.
"Leave, Rey, if you ever felt something for me, even pity, then you will leave." Taani whispered brokenly, it pained him to see her like this. He knew she wasn't in state to give him a chance. He decided to give her some time and prove his love to her. Gain her trust back and made her believe in their love again.
"I'm going, but i'll come back and make you mine again, make you believe my love again. I'll prove how true my love is." Rey whispered softly, he leaned and kissed her forehead before she could even react, he turned around and left from there. After he left, she fall down on her knees and broke down, crying out for him. Her bruised, broken heart was longing for him.
