Sanam RE Leads Box Office Collections in Ist weekend

Sanam Re was below the mark in its first weekend but it got phenomenal growth on Sunday and this was probably due to Valentines Day. The growth on Sunday suggests a hit film but looking at minimal growth on Saturday it does look like the Valentines Day pushed it on Sunday but Monday will tell. The first Weekend business of Sanam Re is as follows

Friday - 3,50,00,000

Saturday - 4,00,00,000

Sunday - 6,25,00,000

Total - 13,75,00,000

There were some circuits which were up 80-90% on Sunday. The film lead Fitoor everywhere on Sunday barring Mysore circuit. Although the film is not that costly it needed a 16-17 crore nett weekend to be in good position.

Fitoor did poor business in its first weekend and the trend was not there either. The first weekend business of Fitoor is as follows

Friday - 3,50,00,000

Saturday - 4,25,00,000

Sunday - 5,25,00,000

Total - 13,00,00,000

The film needed that big growth on Saturday but it was just 20-25% and then Sunday followed in the same pattern and while Sanam Re benefited from Valentines Day, Fitoor did not get much advantage as it was normal Sunday growth.
