The episode today made me think of the absurdities of causes and effects, how four lives are at the positions they are now because of the mere intervening of circumstances which were not entirely their fault.

Let us start with the witch herself, Shradha. She never imagined her life will come down to this, playing second fiddle to the rival she despised with all her heart. The troubles she went through to get into the life of this man, Dhruv, might have been the hardest she ever worked. Yet was it worth it? Was it worth all the trouble? Shradha gives off the impression of being born wicked and she is more wicked than anyone will ever be, but was it her actions which trapped her in this faade of a marriage? Now we can say that Karma is a Bitch, it bites back hard. But is it fair to her? Yes in the beginning it was all about being the celebrity's life but down the lane she ended up giving meaning to her marriage. This is evident from the precap which I must say was very well acted out by Monica Khanna. A woman's worst nightmare and this one she didn't create with her own actions. Shradha by no means deserves forgiveness but a woman's predicament when she finds out her husband is still in love with another woman is understandable.

Lets set aside our differences and look at Dhruv Pandey, the human being. He is the most deserving of sympathy among the four. For a man who has been righteous all his life, life gave him the worst possible gift. He has done nothing, nothing to deserve this kind of punishment. It was he who fell in with Thapki, he who proposed her, he who was knocked down by his brother on his wedding day, he who was cheated by his mother, he who is destined to live with the guilt of breaking Thapki's trust. It is also he who never had the chance to actually move on. We cannot blame him for having feelings for Thapki, even her being his brother's lawfully wedded wife cannot change this because emotions do not have a turn off button. Thapki has Bihan in her life who will never let her dwell on her past, who keeps her busy. There is also the fact that Dhruv's sheer affection for her was what compelled her to love him, if the word is appropriate, it was nothing she experienced herself and a virtuous girl like Thapki would find it fairly easy to look at Dhruv as her brother-in-law because hers wasn't the love Dhruv had for her. It is true that Dhruv married Shradha in foolish haste but not everyone is capable enough to do the right thing in pain. It is not fair for Dhruv and he is completely justified in his words to Shradha, his wife in the precap.

Bihan, the person who is most in pain among the four. He carries with him the guilt of destroying lives and hopes. The sin, too strong a word but in his own eyes the most apt, he committed cannot be justified in anyway. He strives to set things right, to rebuild the broken Taj Mahal, to right the wrong. What he do not suspect to happen to him is love. You do not know when love sneaks up on you and by the time you notice you will be so deeply in the pit that it would be impossible to get out, you will try hard, but you will not escape it. We are yet to see the pain he is going to experience down this road of love which he surely will. What will he do when he finds out about the depth of the wound he had inflicted on his brother? And is falling in love with his brother's love his ultimate punishment? Today he might have said the truth when he said he respected her, but he might have not realized the depth of his own feelings. The way he described her pure mind tells us that he sees her clearly and that kind of clarity is what love offers.

Thapki, allegedly the most affected but the most blessed among the four. She is free from any wickedness; she has had people who sympathize with her, one or the other stand with her; she does not have to carry any burden of guilt. She is also the most stable among the four. The pain and betrayal were too much to endure but she ended up with the better end of the deal. Even as she unnecessarily takes up the difficulties in her life, there isn't anything she will lose on the long term. She lost Dhruv who loved her immensely but she has Bihan in her life, who stands for her, trusts her and respects her. Love isn't far away from her life. Even as she strives hard to pull through the fact that her mother-in-law hates her, she doesn't find it hard to love her and there is always hope of making things right. Even today, she is not sad about the fact that she lost Dhruv, she is sad because she knows Dhruv hasn't moved on and whatever is happening is only inflicting further wounds on his already wounded heart. The fact which pains her is that she is the reason for someone's pain not that Dhruv is in pain.

I see this track as something which will bring Tharuv to full circle eventually. Dhruv might not move on completely, probably his feelings will be left unaddressed but Thapki will finally be free. Shradha is going to torture her. Bihan is going to fall deeper and Thapki would still be the blessed one. She will have to endure the physical torture but she is going to find solace in her true love. And she will fall in love in her own accord.

Kill me ..its 1000 words...don't know what I am trying to do with attributing humane qualities to all the characters. But felt the need to play devil's advocate lol

Lachu, no one can be better with words in this forum than you. You right beautifully about each and every character.
Yes. Shradha is to be pitied most among them. It doesn't matter how evil you are but when you are in a marriage, you are to be loved and respected. No one should be bettrayed like her. She was married in hope of fame, but after all she is a girl wanted to be loved by her husband.

Dhruv is really the person who is at the loosing end. His love was snatched, that too by his brother. Though the actor playing the character made it difficult to connect with the character with his static expressions, but as a person he is entitled to sympathy.

Bihaan is in love. His body language, his words prove it. He may be in denial, or may be igonarant but he is getting his share of punishment by falling for the same girl, whom once his brother loved.

No words for Thapki. But it is clear that she has moved on and only concern she has for DS is just sympathy.

Thanks lachu for this beautiful post
