India-Pakistan cricket series is perhaps the most exciting duel in sports today. The first match of the ODI series will take place just after 30 hours. I have covered different aspects of this ODI in this blog. So, if you read these entries then you will find a lot of useful information.

India and Pakistan team will reach the city on 4 November. Record shows that the venue is bowler friendly as only twice the teams could cross the 250 runs mark. According to a local curator, Sunil Barua, the wicket of the first ODI is a '300 pitch'. Early morning dew could be helpful for the bowlers in the morning at the Nehru Stadium. After a long time, India is going to play an international match without their former captain Rahul Dravid as he has been dropped from the squad of first two ODI matches due to his recent off form. The upcoming first ODI will be the first ODI match of Mahendra Singh Dhoni as captain against Pakistan. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will appear for the first time in an international match with his short hair through the first ODI of India vs Pakistan series 2007. Shoaib Akhtar will also appear with his short hair for the first time in an international match. Virender Sehwag is likely to come back in the ODI squad through the first ODI match of the India vs Pakistan series 2007. Newcomer Praveen Kumar can make his international debut in this match. After a long time, Pakistan is going to start another tour to India without former captain Inzamam-ul Haq who has declared his international retirement in the recent home series against South Africa. Pakistan will not get their star pacer Mohammad Asif in the first ODI due to his injury. Shoaib Akhtar is likely to come back in international cricket with the first ODI match since his getting out of the team due to his clash with fellow team mate Mohammad Asif before the start of Twenty20 world cup 2007. Pakistan has got a seven wicket win over Delhi in a warm up match ahead of the first ODI match. Both India and Pakistan will face each other in the first ODI of the series bearing the experience of their recent home series lose in mind.
