Please do not judge Karisma so harshly...Ash too had her fair share of problems with Salman Khan,and she even launched a police complaint,or in your own words "went public".....Would you be judging Ash too with equal acerbity with which you judged Karisma?
Please do not deem Ash's behaviour as the paragon of values which every Indian girl is supposed to adhere to....There is nothing as such which every daughter-in-law "is supposed to do", nothing is mandatory...
That all middle class Indian families are lovey-dovey is a myth,middle class families do not always pander to the unwritten rules of tradition....What is most important is each individual's priorities,and it is that which should be given predominant importance....Ash chooses to comform to tradition,maybe Karisma doesn't,but that doesn't make Karisma any less virtuous than Ash...
