Riya, the independent bahu

I am really surprised and shocked if the cv's are wanting the viewers to portray as a independent girl who is strong and believes in herself. As of right now I only see a Riya who is constantly saying Sorry, Sorry and more Sorry, sometimes to Shanti, then Kusiya and not the least Shivam. Riya in no way looks like a strong headed girl, she does so many blunders only to rant her sorry sorry sorry rap. It is very irritating to see that she does not know to stand for herself, is there any self-respect left inside her? Kusiya aka cowsilya is no way a Cow as she knows how to use her tongue very well in front of Riya which is disgusting, she has spent so many years with Shanti, but to be on her better sideshe keeps agreeing to everytging shanti says. Have u giys ever noticed how Cowsalya looks with hatred at Riya when she is scolding her, there is no way that kusiya is that naive. She is wearing a mask which comes off when Riya is around. If only she can use her same mannerisms in the house properly she would have been more happy. Riya's character definitely needs to be changed as she does not fit a independent girl tag. Also, I really doubt if Riya and Shivam are the main lead, as all I can see is Sarla, stupid pari and irritating Makdi mama. Shivam and Riya look more like a constipated couple who need some digestive pills.

I totally agree with you. Kausalya has multiple personality syndrome. She shows her 'haye bechari' attitude in front of her children and ammaji, but when Raghav is with her in the room, she shows her nakhras and in front of Ria, she is a total b**tch ! She always looks at Ria with contempt...high expectations and negligible support. She is a loser as a mother. What sort of woman supports verbal abuse of her daughter. I would have pulled out Sarla's tongue if she dared to speak a word against my daughter and this fat dumb idiotic peice of crap was supporting Sarla when she abused Preeti and said aisi aulaad hone se be aulaad hona acha hain. Maintaining peace in joint family doesnt mean u allow people to abuse ur family.

Regarding independence and smartness, Bunty is better than Riya

Plus one, it's annoying I would understand if she was like gopi bahu or Ishita.

Riya is so stupid that she knowingly falls in Shanti's trap. She had once seen Shanti mixing chilli powder in tea, so why does she trust her now. Also, why can't she call uo her DadiBua and ask her about the rituals, obviously Dadibua and Shanti were friends and belonged to same village, so she could have easily got the daan details from her. When everyone was scolding her, she is constantly saying Sorry and that annoys the hell outa me. We don't want to see a helpless woman who can't even defend herself and face the situation. Once she had told Shivam that "meri galti nahi hogi to mai sorry nahi bolungi". Hmmm did she really mean it or was it the opposite that she will say sorry even if it's not her mistake. She ia becoming the junior Kusiya now as she wants to be in the good books of her MIL and so she adheres to every stupidity that takes place in that house. It would have been better if she was shown as less educated as then it's a insult to all those people who have done MBA like her. Noone in that family has manners to talk to a woman. Daddaji was screaming as if the buffalo escaped without being milked. Raghav is another pacman in the house who does not want to listen anything. I think the only characters that bring smiles to our face is Pari and to some extent Nimmi, rest all are hopeless. Sujeev's character makes no sense, neither does Pari's marriage to him as we all knew that no proper marriage was done, merely exchanging garlands do not make u husband wife. Sarla's overacting is taking a toll on the trp of this serial. I hope it shuts down as this show is only good at spreading negativity and rarely we have a good moment. The CV's need pyschiatric help, probably they r having someone like Sarla and Shanti in their life and they are expressing their pain through this show by torturing others as well.

If I was Riya I'd take the family to picnic on a mountain, have them play rail gadi rail gadi with Shanti followed by Sarla, Pari, Amit, Kaushi, Makdi, Makdi's didi and Vyom. Then push the last person so the human rail gadi falls of the cliff ulta, with Vyom hanging by a branch and mommy darling holding on to him, Makdi holding on to didi and all the others followed by Shanti at the bottom. Then Riya and gang sing Aaja Sher Aaja in 5.1 Dolby surround sound and have all shers circling around Shanti singing Maar diya jaye and Shanti trembling like a leaf from a horror movie tree calling upon devil to save her
