Govinda-Lara's latest based on MY COUSIN VINNY
The year 2007 has been a watershed year for the former Miss Universe and top Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta. While her first film of the year, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM (with Preity, Abhishek and Bobby), may have been the first losing venture, in 5-years, for Yash Raj, she got a lot of critical acclaim for her acting. Lara followed it up with the 62-crore blockbuster hit PARTNER, where she played the role of a single mother and Salman's dominating love interest to perfection.
However, the perpetually energetic actress does not believe in resting on past laurels. Presently she is busy shooting for Ravi Chopra's next with her PARTNER star, Govinda.
An interesting aspect of the venture is that it has been adapted from the Hollywood hit, MY COUSIN VINNY (1992). As per the lady herself, she is essaying Marisa Tomei's (Mona Lisa Vito) Oscar-winning role from the critically acclaimed film.
