My box office predictions for Fitoor and Sanam Re

Fitoor seems to have managed decent hype, but the screen count is surprisingly lower than one would expect, especially for a film starring a superstar like Katrina Kaif. The screen count is 1225 in India, which is on the lower side because of it being a film with limited appeal as it is more for a niche audience. The film clashes with Sanam Re which means that Fitoor's opening will be lower than it could've been. Fitoor is set to struggle at the box office as the film needs to collect in the range of 70 crores to recover costs. With the type of opening day Fitoor is going to get, it would need outstanding word of mouth publicity from the audience to reach the 70 crore mark. Unfortunately, the reviews from critics so far is on the negative side, and this is bad news given the fact that this is a multiplex film and this section of the audience may feel the same way after watching the film as critics.
