| Who says only Ekta Kapoor's soaps have off-screen drama? Miilee's Shonali Malhotra (Neena) and Shabnam (Babita) are at war.
According to sources, "Shonali and Shabnam are not on talking terms." When contacted, both girls confirmed that all is not well between them.
Says Shonali, "I am not here to make friends. I do my work and head home. If Shabnam has a problem with me, I am not going to sit and plead with her to be my friend. Friendship is not made, it happens. Frankly speaking, I also tried to take one step towards her, but she turned her back." Birthday bust
Shonali tried to bury their differences by calling Shabnam for a party on her birthday, on September 27. "But Shabnam did not come. I thought she would," says Shonali.
"There are cold vibes between us. Earlier, things were quite good. But since time, things have gone wrong. Shabnam throws her weight on the sets. She is very rude and nasty. She has also been talking a lot of s**t about me," she adds. Negative airs
On the other hand, Shabnam says Shonali is a new entrant and has not tried to fit into the scheme of things. "She entered the serial two months back and I see she has a major attitude. I get negative vibes from her. It's not difficult to judge who is genuine with you and who is fake." No acting required
Doesn't this affect their scenes, especially considering their tracks are almost the same and they share lot of screen space? "It's okay. Shonali and I have mostly tongue-in-cheek, bitchy scenes together. I don't have to play lovey-dovey with her," shoots back Shabnam. vickey.lalwani@mid-day.com |
