Much has been written about things that have been shown wrongly and loosely in this show. Including myself. Latest casuality is the Samskriti of Ayodhya which is lowly in comparision to the supreme Samskriti of Mithila.

But there is this beautiful wedding track on. 6th Feb episode was one of the best in recent times. With that beautiful snaan and diya milan scenes in the outdoors. Poetic.

After the wedding took place, it became the benchmark for all Hindu weddings. Rama and Sita are remembered in many ways during the wedding in the form of Mangalashtakam etc.

One such poem from SriRamaKarnamrutam describes the beautiful 'Akshataropanam' scene. Its also called Talambralu in Telugu.

Janakyah Kamalamalanjali Puteyah Padmaragayitah
Nyastaraghava Mastakecha Vilasatkundaprasunayitah
Srastha Syaamalakayakantikalita Yaayindra Neelaayitaah
Muktaastasshubhada Bhavantu Bhavataam Sriramavaivaahikaah

In Sita's lotus-like hands they looked like rubies.
On Rama's crown they were as if jasmine buds.
On his brilliant blue body they became sapphires.
May these pearls used in SriRama's marriage be auspicious to you.

Depicted beautifully here :

Enjoy.

Rama and Sita and their wedding are refered to quite a lot in weddings. In Andhra Pradesh, devotees do their kalyanam on an annual basis and some do it often.

What Janaka said to Rama while doing Kanyadanam is quite famous and often quoted too. This is from Valmiki Ramayan.

Iyam sita mama suta sahadharmachari tava
Pradiichha enam bhadram te, paaNim gruheeshva paaNinaa.

Pativrata mahabhaga chayaivanugata sada
Ityuktva prakshipat raja mantra putam jalam tada.

Meaning coming soon.

This link has one more song...my favourite., this is from an old b/w movie...

Interesting watch...though has distortion from the VR, in terms of it is Ravana who is shown instrumental in making Parasurama fume over Rama's breaking of Shivdhanush...

a must watch for

1. The Great acting of NTR as Ravana... and the

2. melodious SeetaRama kalyanam song following same.. ⭐️

--------

Janakyah Kamalamalanjali Puteyah Padmaragayitah
Nyastaraghava Mastakecha Vilasatkundaprasunayitah
Srastha Syaamalakayakantikalita Yaayindra Neelaayitaah
Muktaastasshubhada Bhavantu Bhavataam Sriramavaivaahikaah

Also these verses are mentioned in almost all Telugu wedding cards right at the beginning 😳

It is. I mentioned that but got lost in edits. All traditional Telugu wedding invitations carry this. Rama-Sita's wedding is remembered over n over.
