Chapter 12 (a)
Days were passing by, and there was improvement in her health. Everyday her father, Rishi would come to meet her and spend some time with her, talking to her, talking about her childhood and much to his happiness, she was getting comfortable with him, would talk to him, though her answers are only in her one or two words but still, it was enough for Rishi.
While on the other hand, Rey was happy to see the improvement in her, along with her, he was concentrating on his studies too but still taani was his first priority and always will be, from tomorrow his exams are starting and right now, he was studying hard while his princess was sleeping peacefully.
After hours of studying, he kept his book aside on the table and walked over the bed. A smile touched his cheeks seeing her sleeping while hugging the cute teddy bear close to her. He lay down beside her, facing her. He admired her angelic face while remembering the moments they had spent together when they were in relationship, before the fake break up he had planned and ruined two lives.
He can never forgive himself for planning the fake break up, just to make her realize worth of career, he ruined 2.. correction, 3 lives. Her, his and their unborn's. If he hadn't planned that fake break up, then she would have been with him, and their child would have been still breathing inside her.
"Sorry, baby, you & your mother had suffered alot, all because of me." Rey apologized while staring at the sealing, His eyes were moist. He turned to her, and kissed her forehead, reminding himself that he has to be strong for her, he couldn't afford to broke down.
"I'll take care of you." Rey whispered, staring at her with soft eyes. He wrapped his arm around her and slipped into slumber, hoping soon everything will be alright.

"Taani, I'll come back by 2, till then Rishi uncle & Dad will be with you. Are you okay with it?" Rey asked her while feeding her breakfast, Rishi & Ranvijay were looking at them, they both admire the way he takes care of her.
"Okay." Taani mumbled quietly. Rey smiled, they finished their breakfast then Rey left for college while Rishi & Ranvijay stayed at home with taani.
"So? What should we do now? How about we take out somewhere?" Rishi asked her, softly.
"I don't want to go out." Taani whispered in barely audible tone, but both heard her.
"Thats okay. How about we watch some movie. I had heard from Rey that you like watching movies-" Ranvijay said with a smile. Taani gave a small nod to him, then Rishi helped his daughter in walking and made her sit on the couch in hall. The trio settled there and watched a movie while they kept talking to her, it will keep her busy and away from the depressing thoughts.

"That was easy one-" Rey mumbled as he stepped out of the examination hall, after his exam which went pretty well since it was economics, his favorite subject.
"For you, dude. But my ship is sulking here-" Nil commented who was walking by his side. Rey chuckled at him.
"Don't worry, do better in next one." Rey replied to him, then Rey bid adieu to him and went home.

Days passed, Rishi & Ranvijay took care of taani while Rey was busy with his exams. When Rey leave for college, Rishi or Ranvijay would stay at home with taani. In this short span of time, Ranvijay had come close to taani, just like a father. The emotional attachment grown between them, bounded them in a beautiful relation of a father-daughter while Rishi & Taani's relation was improving too.
After Rey, she was comfortable with these two, the two father figures in her life, she feels safe with them. She has started trusting them, which was a huge success for them. All were happy, and now just waiting for the day when they will see the old bubbly, talkative taani, but they also knew it will take time and not rushing into things when she is concerned.

St. Louise College.
Rey stepped out of the examination hall with huge grin plastered on his face, it was last exam paper and now he was free, he was more happy that now he can give his undivided attention to taani. He was walking toward the college exit when his cell phone buzzed, receiving a message from swayum, calling him to meet in rehearsal hall.
Deciding to meet his friends before he leave for home, Rey walked toward the rehearsal hall. Reaching there, he met his group of friends.
"Dude! Exams had ended, so we are having a party at sharon's place tonight. You have to come." Vicky said to him, Rey frowned at him.
"No!"
"What? But Why? Whenever we ask for anything, you just say no. Dude, don't you think you are taking us too granted?" Sharon asked him, causing him to narrow his eyes at him.
"I'm busy. I have many important things to do than partying." Rey answered her back, he didn't wanted to sound rude, but he did at the moment which hurt sharon.
"Whatever." She mumbled and turned her face away from him.
"Its okay, sharon. I'm sure Rey must be really busy, otherwise he can never ignore his friends like this." Kriya consoled her, passing a smile to Rey.
"Thanks for understanding, Kriya. Now i should leave-" Rey said to her, and walked out of the rehearsal hall, Kriya followed him behind and stopped him.
