Sanyukta tried to avoid any meetings related to Somya Steels in the next two weeks and made Parth go to each one of them. She didn't tell him about her encounter with Randhir. She just told him that she wasn't feeling well.

She knew that Parth suspected something was up, but he didn't mention anything to her.

"Sanyukta, the CEO of Somya Steels is refusing to give us the contract," Parth told Sanyukta, and she knew exactly why - her blood was beginning to boil with anger.

Randhir wanted her to go and fight him for the contract. They were fully capable of getting the contract and he had no reason to deny them, yet because of his stupid ego, he was going to.

"Don't worry, I'll go and speak to him," Sanyukta then said, deciding to give Randhir a taste of her own medicine. "We'll get this contract under any cost."

"Sanyukta I have to warn you that the CEO of Somya Steels is -" Parth started.

"Randhir? Yeah I know," she replied. "But don't worry about it... we'll get the contract by hook or by crook."

"Be careful," Parth warned.

"Why? He better be careful," Sanyukta replied through gritted teeth.

"If you say so," Parth said with a sigh. "Want me to come with you?"

"No, I need to go alone," she told him.

Parth nodded and left her alone.

Tomorrow was going to be the day he regretted ever speaking to Sanyukta. She was angry with him - angry for him having lied to their daughter, angry for him having not stopped her that day from leaving, and very angry just because she was apart from him.

The next day, she wore a black formal dress that reached mid-thigh with black stilettos. She made sure to look her best... if she was going in front of Randhir, she had to show him what he was missing out on.

"Come in," she heard him call from inside, and suddenly she became very nervous.

She took a deep breath and opened the door, causing Randhir to look up in surprise. When he saw how she looked, he looked blown away.

After a few moments of silence, he finally spoke up.

"I knew you would come," he spoke.

26

"Of course you knew I would come," she said through gritted teeth, "That's why you said no to Parth, so that I would come!"

"You aren't as stupid as you seem sometimes," Randhir pointed out and she closed the door behind her before walking up to his desk and slamming both of her hands down on it.

"Give us the contract," she ordered.

"What will I get in return?" he asked coolly.

"A lot of profit!" she snapped. "You know that our technology services are going to help your business. There's no denying it! You would be a fool to say no!"

Randhir watched her as she went on about why he should give them the contract - she was right, he only rejected Parth so that she would come here and speak with him. For some reason, he loved when she got irritated... she looked so cute.

He couldn't control the smile that formed on his face.

"Why're you smiling?" she then snapped irritably.

Randhir got up from his chair and rubbed his hands together, as if he was in deep thought. He walked around to Sanyukta and she took a step back - he could hear her heart beating quickly.

Walking past Sanyukta, he walked to the door of his office.

"Where do you think you're going?" she asked him, annoyed.

"I'm just locking the door," he told her lightly, as he locked it.

"Why?" she asked, her heart pounding quickly.

"We don't want a repeat of last time do we?" he asked her playfully, causing her to blush. "I don't want any interruptions this time."

"If you just give us the contract, we can finish this now and I can leave -" she started.

"Exactly, that is what I don't want," he told her, chuckling lightly, as he approached her.

She gulped and took a few steps back until she hit the wall. He placed both of his hands on the wall on either side of her as a faint blush creeped up on her cheeks.

"Sanyukta Agarwal," he murmured, bringing his lips close to her ear. "You came into my office asking for a deal, looking quite hot today - now you tell me, what would someone expect in return for agreeing to your terms?"

She tried to stabilize her breathing but it was impossible. Sanyukta Shekhawat, she wanted to correct, but she kept quiet because she knew that she was going to make a fool of herself if she spoke right now with him so close to her.

Her hands reached up his chest, trying to push him off - even there, she didn't have the strength, but he continued to look in her eyes expectantly, as if waiting for a response.

"I - I don't know," she managed to let out, and closed her eyes, giving up.

27

She could feel his breath on her lips - he was so close. Her hands wrapped around the front of his shirt, clutching his shirt tightly, her breathing getting uneven.

Why did he do this to her? Why was it that whenever he came close to her, her knees went weak, even after all these years?

Randhir didn't let his lips touch hers. In fact, she didn't even know how he had moved his lips to gently graze her ear, causing her to tremble against him.

"I want you to come to my home tonight," he whispered in her ear, causing her whole body to feel weak. "I need to speak to you about something important. It can't be spoken about in office."

Then he let go of her and took a few steps back, smirking as she continued to tremble, her cheeks red, her heart still beating fast. Oh what she wouldn't do to just run up to him and hug him tightly right now.

"Will I get to meet... Somya?" Sanyukta asked Randhir curiously.

"No," he replied simply. "She won't be home. She's going for a sleepover tonight."

"Sleepover?" Sanyukta asked, startled. "Where are you sending my daughter Randhir? She's just six! How can you let her go to -"

"Sanyukta," Randhir interrupted, holding out a hand to stop her. "Come to my place tonight. We'll speak there."

She bit down on her lip to keep quiet. She forgot that Randhir still wouldn't consider her Somya's mother.

"Why do I have to come to your place tonight?" she asked suspiciously.

"Like I said, I need to speak to you," he told her firmly.

"About?" she asked him curiously.

"Come and see for yourself," he told her, and then he walked towards her, lightly brushing his fingers against her jaw, causing her to shiver with pleasure, as he leaned towards her ear and softly murmured, "Farzi."

She blushed as he called her that - it used to annoy her in college, but now she would crave to be called it again.

If he called her Farzi with so much love, did that mean that he wanted her back in his life? Sanyukta's heart started to beat erratically, as she blushed.

"Okay I'll see you tonight then Mr. Shekhawat," Sanyukta said, then mustered the confidence to wink at him flirtatiously, before heading out, leaving Randhir to watch her leave with a confused expression on his face.

28

That night, as Randhir waited for Sanyukta, he wondered how he was going to tell her what he had thought about in the last two weeks. How would she react?

That evening, it was late when she arrived. It was almost 10 at night, and a frustrated Randhir had been waiting for her since much earlier.

As soon as she entered, wearing a long black evening gown and makeup that made her look like a she had just walked out after winning a beauty pageant, he approached her, trying to control his hormones. She was doing this purposefully. He knew her too well. She wanted to look nice so he would go crazy... and the worst part was, despite knowing all of this, her plan was working.

"Some things never change right Sanyukta Agarwal?" he asked her calmly, "Always late."

"I was busy getting ready," she told him sounding offended. "You know me Randhir."

Randhir sighed and ran a frustrated hand through his hair.

"Okay, come with me," he told her, and before she could respond, he had taken her hand in his gently, and had started walking with her to his room.

Once they got inside, Randhir locked the door behind them and touched her shoulders softly with shaking hands, pressing down on them so she could sit down on the foot of his bed.

He sat down next to her, and took her hand in his.

"The reason I asked you to come here was because," he started, trying to find the words to say what he wanted to say. "Because -"

"Randhir," Sanyukta interrupted, placing her soft fingers over his lips, causing his heart rate to increase. "You don't need to say it. Your silence says it all."

"Really?" Randhir then asked, removing her fingers from his lips. "Then you must know, that I was going to ask you to give me a divorce."

29

"D - D - Divorce?" she spluttered, feeling like she just got stabbed in the heart - had she heard right? Randhir wanted to give her a divorce? It was like her world came crashing down. "Are - are you being serious?"

He squeezed her hand comfortingly and nodded.

"Yes," he replied simply. "I want a divorce."

"B - But why?" she asked him, her eyes wide. "Why Randhir?"

"Come on Sanyukta, you know why," Randhir replied and then sighed. "Look we've spent six years of our lives, thinking we'd never meet again. What if you want to live with someone else or marry again? This could hold you back."

Sanyukta breathed sharply - marry someone else, yeah right. She would only marry someone else if Randhir could get out of her heart, but she knew that was impossible.

"Why? Have you found someone?" she asked painfully.

Then she removed her hand from his as tears welled up in her eyes. She touched his cheek softly.

"Sanyukta," Randhir warned.

"No, shut up," she ordered, her voice cracking, "Just... just let me touch you."

He placed his hands over her trembling one which rested on his cheek, feeling the graze of his stubble.

"Sanyukta stop," he commanded, but she refused to listen.

"There is another way Randhir," she told him, her heart aching, "A less painful way."

"Oh yeah?" he asked her sarcastically. "And what way is that?"

She caressed his cheek softly as fresh tears poured out of her eyes.

"Somya, you, me... we could be a happy family," she told him painfully. "We could tell Somya that her mother is alive. She - she is a kid, she won't be upset for long."

Randhir took her hand and removed it from his cheek, before squeezing it gently.

"Sanyukta I thought about that too," he admitted, "But the truth is that we may end up accusing each other and fighting again. This time it'll hurt her too if we argue or if we get separated. It's not only for us two anymore."

"Randhir who says we'll go back to being the way we were?" she asked him softly. "We've learned, haven't we?"

He rubbed small circles on her as he shook his head.

"I don't think I can trust myself. I love Somya too much Sanyukta. I can't let her get hurt, especially if it can be avoided," he explained, looking down.

"Okay," Sanyukta then croaked, standing up. "Fine. If you want a divorce you'll get it."

Randhir looked up at her, surprised that she had given in so easily, and he stood up too.

"Just know one thing Randhir," Sanyuka told him painfully. "I will never be happy."

She watched as a heartbroken expression took over his face, which made her want to hug him tightly right now and tell him not to worry, that everything will be okay. But she couldn't. Because with his stupid idea of a divorce, nothing would be okay.

"Y - you're ready to give me a divorce?" he asked her, surprised, as if he wasn't expecting it.

She was about to nod, when she shook her head instead.

"N - no I'm not Randhir," she cried, "I'm not ready for any of this..."

Then before he knew what was happening, she had thrown her arms around him and was hugging him so tightly, that letting go didn't seem to be an option.

"Please don't leave me Randhir," she begged. "Please don't leave me."

30

He reached up to stroke her hair as she sobbed in his arms. The weight of her body against his made him feel like she would fall down if she didn't have his support right now.

Randhir held her against him protectively. He missed having her in his arms. Randhir missed the feeling of holding her, of lovingly caressing her hair, of being close to her.

"Please don't leave me," she cried, her words getting muffled against his shirt.

Randhir broke their embrace and cupped her cheeks, using his thumbs to wipe away her tears.

"Please," she whispered, looking up into his eyes pleadingly, and he knew that she was going to be broken.

"I won't leave you," he then murmured and a look of hope settled on her face.

Still cupping her cheeks, he kissed her forehead softly, and her hands rested on his arms.

Then she pushed his arms down and hugged him once more. This time her body was pressed against his, craving to feel every bit of him she had missed in the last six years.

"Sanyukta," he groaned - if she was this close to him, he didn't know how much control he would have over herself. "Stop-"

"No," she refused right away, "I won't. I don't care if you lose control. You can lose control."

If she was saying these things to him, then it would be harder for him too now.

"I don't want to hurt you again," he murmured, stroking her hair. "Please get off."

"No," she refused. "You're my Randhir, and I won't get off or let you go away from me."

His heart leaped when she called him her Randhir. He had been aching to hear her call him hers for years now.

"Your Randhir?" he asked her lightly.

"Yes," she said shyly, and he knew that she was blushing. "You're my Randhir, all mine. You don't belong to yourself as much as you belong to me."

He chuckled and she broke their embrace, looking up at him with a serious expression on her face.

"Why are you laughing at me?" she asked him with a pout.

"You're cute," he replied with a smile, and then touched the tip of her nose lightly.

"Cute?" she asked him, frowning.

"Yes, cute," he replied with a smile, then he stroked her cheek softly. "And I love you very much."

Her heart started to beat wildly when he confessed, and she looked up at him with shock, surprised that his ego diminished enough to let him admit his feelings.

"You what?" she asked him, unable to make out if she heard it right.

"I love you very much," he repeated, and she blushed.

31

Randhir loved her. Her Randhir loved her, even after all these years! The thought made her want to dance ecstatically.

"I love you too," she replied, and then rested her head on his chest again, this time with a smile on her face. "I love you too Randhir."

He kissed the top of her head and she took a step back, this time still smiling - she noticed that he had a smile on his face too. He was just as happy.

Randhir took her hand in his and brought it to his lips, planting a wet kiss on it. The tip of his tongue touched the back of her hand slightly, teasing her, and she blushed.

"Already losing control?" she joked.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her towards him,as he brought his lips to her ear, with them softly brushing over her earlobe in the process.

"My wife is so hot, what can I do?" he whispered, causing her to blush again.

She fisted the sleeves of his white dress shirt in her hands, aching to be one with him again.

"You can show me what you want to do to your hot wife," she said shyly.

Randhir brought his hands up to cup her cheeks, and she looked down, still blushing.

"You weren't this shy six years ago Farzi," he said, with a light chuckle. "You were a tigress."

"A tigress?" she asked, her eyes wide. "I don't know who you've been seeing but that could not have been me!"

"Oh yeah?" he asked, smirking, "When you wanted me, you would just jump on me, and without even kissing me you'd already take me inside you."

Sanyukta blushed a deep red.

"Shut up," she said, lightly slapping his arm. "Its been so long, obviously I'm going to be a bit shy."

"A bit?" he asked, laughing.

Sanyukta hid her face in his chest again, blushing hard. It was like she was going to kiss him or make love to him for the first time.

"Come here," he murmured, pulling her off him gently, then he picked her up in his arms, causing her to gasp loudly and took her to his bed, laying her down.

He went around to the other side, and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt, causing her to squeeze her eyes shut.

"You've seen me naked so many times before Farzi," Randhir told her playfully, before getting into the bed next to her.

"Yes, but not for years," she gasped.

He chuckled and lay down on the bed beside her.

"Alright, let's go to sleep," he told her, pulling the covers over them.

"What?" she gasped, "Sleep?"

"Why, you want to do something else?" he asked her playfully.

"No - I mean yes," she muttered, blushing again, and then rested her head on his chest.

"You sure you want to rush into things?" he asked her, as she rubbed small circled across his chest.

"I just missed you a lot," she told him, her eyes filling with tears, then she sat up on the bed and Randhir sat up along with her.

He touched her cheek lightly, and she turned around to look at him.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked her softly, lightly wiping away her tears with his fingers.

32

Did Randhir just ask if he could kiss her? She blushed hard, not sure how to respond to that. Of course he could kiss her! She didn't need him to ask her for her permission to kiss her, she was already his and he could love her in whichever way he wanted.

"That's a stupid question," she replied, looking down and blushing, feeling butterflies fly around in her stomach.

"It's a very valid question," he responded, "I don't want to assume anything anymore."

"I'm already yours," she told him, her eyes filling with tears again, "You can do whatever you want to me."

He smiled and kissed her temple and she continued to look down, still blushing.

"I'll take that as a yes then," he told her softly, but she had already laid down on her side, facing away from him.

"I'm mad at you," she told him cutely.

"Why?" he asked her surprised, running his hand down the side of her body, causing her to tremble.

"I love you and told you I want to be with you, yet you're asking for my permission," she told him bitterly. "As if you don't trust me."

What? Where had trust come in from now? He was just being polite when he asked her.

"You haven't changed a bit," Randhir told her lightly, "Always getting mad over little things."

"Little?" she gasped, and was about to turn around and glare at him, but decided not to... after all, if she didn't even look at him, it would be more effective.

Randhir chuckled, and moved her hair from her back, over the side of her shoulder, leaving most of her back exposed. The gown she was wearing had a low back. He lightly ran his fingers across the soft skin that was now exposed, and she began to tremble.

He placed a kiss on the back of her neck, before planting wet kisses down her back, as she shivered against him. His kisses had so much love, that she involuntarily turned around, and wrapped her arms around his neck, trying to pull him down on top of him.

"I love the way you kiss me," she admitted. "I love the way you touch me... the way you love me."

He smiled and her hands ran down from his neck to his shirt, as she started to play with his buttons seductively.

"My tigress is back?" Randhir teased playfully.

Then she blushed a crimson red again and removed her hand from his shirt.

"I love you," was all she said.

He chuckled and picked up her hand, kissing her wrist softly.

"You're beautiful," he murmured honestly. "It's taking me so much self-control right now... you don't even know how badly I want to make love to you."

"Then do it you idiot," she said, frowning. "Why are you taking so long?"

"You could do it too," he pointed out.

"Me?" she gasped.

"Mhmmm, if you want it so bad I mean," he smirked.

"You know what!" Sanyukta said, getting frustrated now. "I don't even think you're turned on. If you were, you wouldn't be fooling around for so long! Am I not pretty anymore?"

"My drama queen," he said, rolling his eyes. "I guess I have to prove myself now."

He took her hand and gently guided it down to his crotch - she gasped as she felt the hardness.

"Enough proof?" he asked her with a smirk.

She blushed and squeezed her eyes shut, her own desire throbbing to have him.

"Randhir..." she whispered, nervously.

"Mhmm?" he asked her.

"My lips... they feel dry," she hinted.

Randhir nearly laughed out loud at the way she was trying to get him to kiss her.

"So what do you want me to do?" he teased.

"Idiot, understand!" she replied, opening her eyes. "My lips are dry!"

"So, lick them," Randhir told her with a smirk. "Then they won't be dry."

She slipped her tongue out of her mouth and traced her own lips, wetting them.

That sight was enough to make him go crazy - he grabbed her arms and pinned them on the bed on either side of her before he leaned forward and closed the distance between their mouths, hungrily quenching the thirst that had been building inside him for the last six years.

33
Note: This part is mature! Read at your own discretion!

After six long years, his lips were on hers. One of her hands reached up to hold the nape of his neck, the other one sliding into his hair, as his lips touched hers softly, his body hovering over her own.

The kiss got heated as soon as it started with his lips expertly moving on hers, his hands massaging her hips gently. She responded to the kiss with the same amount of passion, the same amount of love and desire.

He hungrily sucked on her upper and lower lip both at once, causing her to stifle a moan. As his tongue invaded her mouth, she allowed her tongue to run over the length of his, feeling the warmth of his mouth after so many years.

Her hands moved to the front of his shirt, unbuttoning it quickly, as she continued to kiss him hungrily. He grazed his teeth with her top lip, causing her to moan. Finally, she managed to finish unbuttoning his shirt, and he shrugged it off his shoulders, trying to get it off without removing his hands from her body. She brushed her fingers across his arms lightly, as she removed his shirt from his body and allowed it to fall on the floor beside them.

Finally breaking apart to breathe, they looked at each other in the eyes, both of them breathing heavily. Sanyukta glanced down at his exposed chest and ran her fingers across it, feeling his abs after so long.

"Still hot," she murmured and sat up slightly, kissing his collarbone.

That was enough for him. She was driving him crazy. He rolled over on the bed and she sat up on his stomach, before leaning over his body and kissing him on the lips softly. Then her lips traced his jawline, causing him to tremble.

"Sanyukta," he groaned, but her mouth had already moved down his neck, pausing to suck on her favourite places.

He buried his hands in her hair, massaging the back of her head gently, as she continued to plant wet kisses down the front of his body. She traced his nipples with her fingers first before taking them in her mouth and biting lightly with her teeth. Sliding her tongue towards his stomach, she could feel him holding his breath.

As she was getting closer and closer to his crotch area though, he grabbed her by the hair and pulled her off him, causing her to shiver with pleasure. She loved it when he did that.

He pushed her down on the bed, and started to claw at her dress, his desire taking over.

"Wait," she gasped, "I - I have to warn you... I'm not wearing anything underneath."

"Nothing?" he responded, his eyes wide, his desire to have her increasing with each passing second.

"Nothing," she told him and then blushed.

"Oh, you'll kill me Sanyukta before I even get a chance to be inside you," he groaned, and she blushed harder, helping him to remove her dress.

As soon as her dress fell off, he looked at her body with awe - she was still just as beautiful as she had been six years ago.

"You're so hot," he murmured and captured her lips with his again, sucking harder than ever.

Her lips were going to be swollen with the way he was sucking, she knew it... but it was hot, she loved the way he desired her. As soon as he let go of her lips, he kissed her chin softly before running his tongue down her neck, biting softly where her neck met her collarbone.

"Randhir," she moaned, knowing he loved it when she moaned his name. "I love you."

"I love you too," he said breathlessly, as he teased her by running his tongue down her body.

She trembled when she felt his tongue on her breasts, sucking on the sensitive area. She pressed him down on her body, craving to feel him as close as possible to her.

As his lips moved down, he paused to suck on her navel, causing her to shiver uncontrollably, knowing he was so close to where she wanted him to be.

He then moved his head down and spread her legs wide open, planting kisses on her inner thighs.

"Please," she whispered. "Please I can't... I can't control... I need you..."

She felt the softness of his tongue brush against her folds and she moaned out loud, her hands in his hair, pressing him down against her further. He slid his tongue deeper inside her as she moaned louder.

"Randhir fu-" she was about to swear, but he had removed his lips from her soft spot and pressed them against hers instead.

She could taste herself from his mouth.

"Be a good girl," he murmured against her lips. "Otherwise I'll punish you."

"f**k," she said breathlessly against his mouth, unable to control her words. "f**k me Randhir."

"Didn't I say to be a good girl?" he replied huskily, capturing her lips with his again. "I guess now I have to punish you."

She reached down with shaking hands to get his black dress pants off, and he helped her. As soon as he took them off along with his boxers, he attacked her neck with his mouth again.

He was already sweating.

"Randhir please," she begged - this was torture.

"I have to punish you," he teased. "Maybe in a bit."

"Shut up and enter me now," she ordered.

"Alright if you insist," he told her, pretending like it was a lot of work.

He held her hips gently, before he easily slipped inside the inviting wetness.

"Oh!" she moaned - she had forgotten how good this felt. "Deeper!"

He rocked his hips hard, thrusting into her as deep as he could get and she moaned loudly. Pressing his lips against hers, she sucked on his lips, aching to have him get even closer than this. Her hands wrapped around his back, and he removed his lips from hers, kissing down to her neck as he continued to thrust.

"Sanyukta," he moaned, as he rocked his hips back and forth, deep into her. "I love you so much."

He turned them around while he was still inside her, so that she could be on top and take control. She rocked her hips against his as she leaned over him and kissed him gently, then she sat up on him as she continued to thrust, taking charge.

He lifted his head and slipped his tongue out of his mouth so he could lick her breasts - as his tongue found her nipple, she moaned sensuously.

"Oh Randhir," she moaned, "I'm going to -"

"So am I," he interrupted, "Come here."

She leaned towards him, resting her body on top of his, and pressing their lips together, as they both thrust together until they both hit their climax together.

As the wave of the orgasm died down and they waited for their heartrate to return to normal, their sweaty bodies clung to each other, with Randhir still inside her.

"That was amazing," she murmured and he kissed the top of her head. "It was so hot."

"I love you," he responded and he smiled, feeling a flush on his cheeks.

She snuggled up closer to him and closed her eyes, exhausted.

"I love you too," she responded, smiling. "Now promise me one thing."

"What?" he asked her, rubbing circles on her back.

"You won't ever leave me," she told him. "And this time, we won't break our promises."

"Go to sleep Sanyukta," Randhir told her, avoiding her question.

"Fine, but you better not leave me this time," she said to him sternly.

He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes without responding.

34

In the morning, he woke up with Sanyukta still on top of him, fast asleep. He tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear as she stirred. He was still inside her from last night, and suddenly, he felt himself get aroused.

"Shit," he murmured, and Sanyukta's eyes opened.

"Randhir," she blushed, half moaning, feeling it too.

He turned them both over on the bed and kissed her lips hungrily, and she smiled against his lips, enjoying this very much - he was already thrusting and she was already feeling her insides burn with pleasure.

"Sanyukta you shouldn't have slept like this on me," he groaned as he continued to thrust.

"You should have pulled out last night then," she said with a smirk, her arms wrapped around him.

"I - I love you," he told her and she smiled more widely, closing her eyes as he finished inside her.

"I love you too," she said with a dreamy sigh.

He got off her, his heart beating wildly, and she rolled on top of him.

"I'm not done yet Mr. Shekhawat," she teased, and kissed him on the cheek softly.

"Sanyukta what do you want from me?" he groaned, already feeling her lips on his neck.

"Okay fine, I'll spare you this time Mr. Shekhawat, only because I am hungry," she teased.

"I'm hungry too," he told her with a pout, glancing down at her lips, and she blushed before pressing her lips against his again.

He grabbed her hair and turned her over as his lips expertly played with hers.

Then he let go of her and sat up on the bed. She sat up as well, and he cupped her cheek with a hand and placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Get ready," he told her with a smile.

"I need to shower," she replied with a smirk. "And so do you."

He engulfed her in a hug before kissing her ear.

"You go and shower Sanyukta, I have something to do," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear, causing butterflies to fly around in her stomach.

She broke the hug and kissed his cheek quickly before getting up and going to the wardrobe where Randhir had kept her clothes. She picked up another salwar suit from there and placed it on the bed as Randhir handed her a towel and she headed inside, taking one last peek at his naked body causing Randhir to chuckle.

She couldn't get enough of him.

As soon as she disappeared into the bathroom, and he heard the shower turn on, he dialed a number on his phone.

After a few rings the person on the other end picked up and Randhir whispered, "It's done - the plan is working."

When Sanyukta came out of the bathroom, smiling and wrapped in a towel, she walked up to Randhir and wrapped her arms around him, her wet hair clinging on to his still sweaty skin.

"Sanyukta," he whispered, smelling the scent of his soap that she had used.

Hs kissed her ear lovingly and she breathed sharply, causing him to smirk and let go of her.

"I'll shower now, you get ready," he told her, breaking their embrace and stroking her cheek softly.

He could feel the heat from her cheeks and he smiled.

"I'm so happy Randhir," she mumured, kissing his shoulder softly, before walking up to the bed with her salwar suit. "I'm so happy I can't even explain it."

"I'm happy that you're happy," Randhir told her, before walking up to her and wrapping his arms around her from behind. "Now I need your towel."

"Don't you have another towel?" Sanyukta asked, blushing.

"I want this one," he whispered into her ear seductively. "Take it off."

He kissed the side of her neck from behind, then her shoulder, causing Sanyukta's head to fall back, her wet hair falling on Randhir's face.

"I - I'm taking it off," she told him, getting aroused.

"Then do it," he whispered, sucking on her shoulder.

Sanyukta reached over her towel and removed it completely, as Randhir took a step back and looked at her body.

"Randhir," she whined, handing him the towel. "Stop looking at me like that."

He took the towel from her and kissed her temple, before saying, "I will be back in a few minutes. Once you get ready, go downstairs and order what you would like with Gopal."

She smiled and nodded, happy that he cared about her so much.

"See you soon," she told him longingly.

"I'll be back in just a few minutes," he said, and squeezed her hand tightly before disappearing into the bathroom.

36

Downstairs on the dining table, Sanyukta's stomach was roaring hungrily, but she was waiting for Randhir. She was finally uniting with him after six long years, and she wanted them to eat together.

Gopal, the head chef came to the dining room and took out a little notepad.

"Ma'am what would you like to eat?" he asked her.

"Umm can I get one plate of Hakka style chinese noodles with mixed vegetables and one with vegetable manchurian?" Sanyukta asked him. "Two glasses of water too please."

"Okay ma'am," Gopal said and disappeared into the washroom.

Randhir loved Hakka food - especially Hakka noodles. She smiled as she waited for him, excited to see his reaction upon knowing that she remembered.

Once he came downstairs, about half an hour later, Randhir sat on the table beside Sanyukta and took her hand in his.

"You didn't eat?" he asked her, surprised.

"Not yet. I was waiting for you... plus, Gopal hasn't finished making my order yet," Sanyukta told him with a smile.

"Sanyukta don't tell me you ordered something crazy -" he started, causing Sanyukta to start giggling.

"No Randhir," she interrupted, "I ordered - ah there he is."

Gopal came in along with two chefs. Gopal was holding a big bowl of rice along with a variety of sauces, while the chef to his left was holding the vegetable manchurian and the chef on the right was holding the Hakka style noodles.

"Hakka?" Randhir asked her, looking back at Sanyukta. "You like Hakka now?"

"I don't mind Hakka, but I know you love Hakka, so I wanted us to have it," she told him, looking down and blushing.

"Sanyukta... I don't like Hakka cuisine anymore. My taste changed in the last six years," Randhir told her, feeling her heart break.

37

How could she even expect that he would be the same Randhir? Of course he would change. She was stupid to even think that he would be the exact same.

Gopal and the two chefs put the dishes down in front of them, and Randhir took empty plates and started dividing the food between them, upon looking at her crestfallen face.

"Here," he said, placing a plate in front of her. "I was just joking Farzi."

Sanyukta looked up at him suspiciously, somehow not believing him. As he put his own plate down in front of him and took a bite out of the manchurian, she knew he was not joking.

Her Randhir would have gulped the noodles down first before anything... manchurian was something he liked, but he loved noodles.

She took a bite out of her own manchurian balls, and she smiled softly - even after all these years, just to keep a smile on her face, he didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"Randhir, Somya," Sanyukta said after a few moments of silence.

"What about Somya?" Randhir asked.

"When's she coming back?" Sanyukta asked him curiously.

"I don't know, maybe in the evening," he said, shrugging his shoulders.

"What? You don't know?" Sanyukta asked, frowning. "Randhir what's wrong with you? First you send her over to a sleepover at such a young age when she shouldn't be away from her parent's and then -"

"Sanyukta you don't give me a lecture on how she shouldn't be away from her parents," Randhir replied angrily. "You don't need to give me any parenting tips wen you haven't even been here."

Sanyukta felt tears well up in her eyes as her heart shattered into a million pieces - somehow, in some way, Randhir still hadn't forgiven her for leaving them.

"Do you know Sanyukta? All these years, she would cling to me like a child clings to its mother. Why? Because she had no choice - so Sanyukta, don't try to be a mother in her life," he snapped. "You aren't her mother."

Randhir pushed his chair back and stormed up the stairs, leaving his food half-eaten, and leaving his Sanyukta heartbroken.

38

She waited for a few moments for him to calm down before she made her way up the stairs, and into his room. His door was wide open, and he was standing up, looking out of the window.

Sanyukta approached him quietly and wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her face into the back of his shirt.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

His hands reached over to hold hers before he removed them from his body and turned around to face her, his expression stony.

"Randhir," she said, and placed her head on his chest, hugging him tightly. "I love you. I'm sorry."

"Sanyukta, leave me alone," he warned.

"No. I didn't come back to leave you alone," she refused, pressing her body against his more deeply. "Please don't tell me to do something I can't do."

She felt him relax a bit against her, before his arms wrapped around her small frame and pull her off him.

"Sanyukta look at all the differences we have... and it hasn't even been a day," he pointed out. "You want to be with me? Are you sure? Didn't I say last night that I would just hurt you?"

She took his hands in hers and brought them both to her lips together, kissing them at once.

"I love you Randhir, and now I'm not leaving for the world," she told him and smiled. "You can say whatever you want to me, but I know that you love me."

Randhir looked at her surprised, before his expression turned to one of anger.

He grabbed both of her hands and pinned them behind her back painfully.

"Really?" he asked her, a furious look in his eyes. "What if I called you the same things I called you years ago. What would you do?"

Her eyes welled up with tears at the memories, but she forced herself to smile through her tears.

"Randhir, you can call me whatever you want, you can do anything you want to me... but I'm not leaving this time," she told him seriously.

"What changed Sanyukta?" he spat out harshly.

"I can handle it now Randhir," she replied, her eyes bright, even though he was holding her so painfully, "Maybe my love changed, or I changed. I don't know... but I won't leave you now."

"What if I told you, I would let you be with me, but not with Somya?" he then asked her coldly, causing her to begin shivering, "Would you stay?"

39

The question hit her like a bullet to her heart. How would she live, being so close to her daughter, but not being with her? Sanyukta loved Somya a lot... but she loved Randhir too, and maybe somewhere Randhir had a point. She made mistakes, and now she was just being punished for them.

"Yes," she replied, as tears fell from her eyes. "I would."

Randhir let go of her hands, causing them to fall to her sides.

"Leave," he ordered.

She shook her head and hugged him tightly again.

"No," she refused.

"Don't test my patience," he warned. "Get out from here."

"No," she refused again, clinging on to him even more tightly. "When I say I won't leave, I mean it."

She finally broke their embrace and cupped his cheeks with trembling fingers before pressing her lips against his softly. She knew that his anger calmed down - this was the one way that she could calm him down in a moment before, and it seemed like it still hadn't changed.

When she broke the kiss, she took his hand in hers and squeezed it.

"I love you," she told him, looking into his eyes with her watery ones, so innocently. "I love you so much Randhir."

"Come here," he murmured, and opened his arms.

She smiled, resting her head on his chest, as she felt him wrap his arms around her in a warm embrace.

"I'll... I'll let you meet her," he finally said with a loud sigh. "But not now. I need to speak to her first."

She nodded, feeling her insides fill with warmth - she knew that Randhir couldn't see her tears, she knew that his heart wouldn't let her separate from her daughter.

"Thank you," she breathed out.

He rubbed her back gently and kissed her head.

"Your gratitude won't last for long Sanyukta," he thought to himself.

40

Randhir broke their embrace and cupped her cheeks with his hands before kissing her on the forehead.

"I'll drop you home, then I have to go to work," he told her. "I'll talk to Somya today in the evening. I'll call you."

"You don't have my number Randhir," she told him softly and smiled, before taking out her cell phone and passing it to Randhir. "Here, you give me your number, I'll give you a missed call so you can save mine."

He took the phone from her and entered his number into the contacts. She smiled as she watched him... after so long, she was finally going to be with her family.

"Thank you Randhir," she said gratefully, as she took her phone back.

She stood up on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek lovingly.

"I can't wait for us all to be together again," she said with a happy smile. "It's going to be so nice."

He laced his fingers through hers and walked with her downstairs to his car.

"You don't drive with a driver?" Sanyukta asked curiously.

"Normally I don't. I like to drive," he admitted. "Sometimes if I don't feel like sitting through traffic, I will get the driver to drive."

She nodded and he opened the passenger side door for her. Getting into the car she smiled, her Randhir was still such a gentleman.

As he got into his side and started to drive, he had one hand on the wheel, and he held his other hand out for her to take. She squeezed his hand lovingly.

"I don't want to leave you for even a minute," she admitted.

"It's just for a little while," he told her and she smiled, leaning towards him and resting her head on his shoulder.

As he pulled over to her home, she wrapped her arms around him from the passenger seat, kissed him on the cheek and whispered into his ear, "Bye."

Rubbing her back affectionately, he whispered, "I'll see you soon."

Blushing, she broke the hug, opened the door, and went inside her house. As soon as she disappeared, Randhir started to drive away - not to work, but to a different place.

As soon as he got to the house he drove towards, he walked inside, and with a wide smile, he heard her voice yell, "Daddy!"

Somya ran towards him and he fell to his knees as she engulfed him in a tight hug and kissed his cheek.

"I missed you Daddy!" she told him.

"I know baby. I'm sorry," Randhir told her, rubbing her back. "I had to send you away for a little while, but Daddy is back now."

"Oh Randhir, you came sooner than I expected," a female voice then said, and Randhir looked up into the eyes of a pretty looking woman, who was about his age. "You know Somya and I have both missed you a lot."

He let go of Somya and wrapped his arms around the lady as she leaned into him, allowing him to hug her.

"You know daddy, mom took really good care of me," Somya informed.

"Thank you Ishika," Randhir said gratefully, smiling appreciatively at her.

"Anything for you Randhir," she then told him with a smile.

41

Sanyukta went home with a smile on her face and a blush on her cheeks, which didn't go unnoticed by Parth.

"Is everything okay?" Parth asked her seriously and she looked down with a shy smile.

"Yeah," she said happily. "Parth, everything is amazing."

"I see," he replied, "Did you speak with Randhir?"

Sanyukta knew that it was probably obvious that she had spent the whole night with Randhir, but Parth wasn't going to bring it up... it was too awkward of a topic.

"Yeah I went to his office," Sanyukta told him.

"And? Did he say okay to the deal?" Parth asked her.

"The deal?" Sanyukta repeated, and she suddenly felt her heart drop - she had completely forgotten to get him to say yes to the deal. "Well... he hasn't said yes yet, but I think he will. I'll meet him again. I guess he just may need time to think about it."

"Hmm... alright," Parth replied with a serious look at her. "Sanyukta, I want to warn you though... I know your feelings may be coming back, but remember that Randhir hurt you all those years ago, and he is fully capable of hurting you again."

Sanyukta looked up at Parth and gave him a stony look.

"Parth, you don't need to remind me. And I trust Randhir," she replied seriously. "It's between me and him. Please don't speak about him like that."

"As you wish," Parth said with a heavy sigh.

Then he turned around and walked away, causing her heart to beat fast - he had a point... Randhir had hurt her years ago, and she had blindly supported him even then. Could it be that he could do it again?

She brushed the thought aside - no way. It just wasn't possible. Her Randhir couldn't hurt her now. And even if he did, it wouldn't be on purpose. Yes, he was a bit angry and said whatever came to mind sometimes, but he was still her Randhir, and he would do anything for her. He loved her so much - now she had matured as well, and so had her love.

Despite that, a question wasn't leaving her mind... Was it possible that history was repeating itself?

42

As Somya and Randhir were driving home that day, Somya asked Randhir a question that he knew she would ask - Somya was an intelligent six year old... his behaviour would never go unnoticed by her.

"Daddy, tell me seriously why you took me to Ishika mom's house for a whole night when you never kept me away from you before today?" she asked him suspiciously.

"Baby," Randhir sighed, running his fingers through his hair as one hand still rested on the steering wheel, "I did it for a reason."

"I know, that's why I'm asking what reason," Somya said to him, folding her arms.

"You know... you know how I told you your mom is not in this world anymore?" Randhir asked her and she nodded. "Well baby, the truth is that she is here... in this world."

"Really?" Somya asked, surprised. "Is it Ishika mom?"

"No baby, Ishika mom is just your dad's friend... and you've known her ever since you were a baby, so she's always been close to you, but she's not your mom," Randhir informed her.

"I know she isn't my mom, I just called her that because I didn't have anyone else to call mom," Somya admitted.

"I know baby... even I told you it's okay to call her mom. She's only treated you like her own daughter," Randhir told her softly.

"Then who is my mom?" Somya asked him seriously. "Have I met her?"

"Yes baby you have," Randhir said with a sigh. "Your mom is... she's the Aunty who gave you the shawl that day when you were cold."

Somya's mouth dropped open at Randhir's confession.

"Are you serious?" Somya asked him, her eyes wide.

"Yes I'm serious," Randhir told his daughter. "She... she loves you very much."

"So that's why she gave me her shawl!" Somya replied incredulously.

"No, she didn't know you were her daughter then," Randhir told her softly. "She gave you her shawl because she felt connected to you."

"B - but daddy, why wasn't she here all these years?" Somya asked him with tears in her eyes.

Randhir gulped - he knew his daughter was going to ask him the question which he had no answer to. This was the question that would end up hurting her. This was the reality he wanted to keep her away from.

"She loves you Somya. Nothing matters except that," Randhir told her firmly.

"If she loved me, she would have never left me," Somya said, as tears fell from her eyes - from the eyes that were exactly like Sanyukta's.

Randhir pulled into his driveway, and before he could say anything to her, Somya had already opened her door and had run inside the house, crying.

43

Sometimes everything goes the way one wants it to go and life becomes perfect for them, but there comes a singular event that turns the perfection into imperfection... and it all happens in the blink of an eye.

Sanyukta had been waiting all day for his call, and finally when it came, her heart leaped in excitement. She was craving to hear what Somya said about her - she was aching to hear her daughter call her mom.

"Sanyukta," Randhir said on the other end of the line. "She's really upset."

"Oh," Sanyukta replied, feeling an ache in her heart - of course she would be upset, this was what was expected... Randhir not only lied to their daughter, but her mother had left her at a tender age. "Can I come and see her?"

"I don't know if it's a good idea," he said into the phone.

"Please... I'll speak to her. I want to talk to her. Please Randhir," Sanyukta begged. "I'll try to make her understand."

She could hear Randhir sigh.

"As you wish," he responded. "You can come over now if you want... but be warned, she is very stubborn."

"Okay, coming!" she replied right away, and hung up the phone before picking up her purse and hurriedly walking to her front door.

"You're going somewhere?" Parth said, as he approached her, looking surprised.

"Yeah Parth... I need to go. I'm going to see my daughter," Sanyukta said excitedly.

"Oh," he replied, then smiled at her. "I'm happy for you."

"Thank you Parth!" Sanyukta said excitedly. "I'll see you later."

"Take care, it's getting dark," Parth warned.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Bye!" she said, and then rushed outside to catch a taxi to Randhir's place.

Her heart began to pound at an incredible rate as the taxi stopped outside of Randhir's mansion. She paid the taxi driver and then stepped into the chilly winds.

She nervously entered his place and saw that Randhir was pacing back and forth in the entrance hall, waiting for her.

"Oh Randhir," she said breathlessly, happy to see him again.

She ran up to him and hugged him tightly, and smiled into his chest as she felt his hands rub her back affectionately and his nose pressed against her neck, inhaling her familiar scent.

"Somya is upstairs," Randhir murmured into her ear. "Come, let's go and talk to her."

He then broke the hug, took Sanyukta's hand in his and began to lead her upstairs, as she stared at him in awe all this while.

She didn't know how he managed to always leave her speechless and awestruck. He had a charm, and no matter how comfortable she got with him, the charm never seemed to go away.
