Technically doesn't have any tough competition. I can only see PC - But she is doing her own thing. The year will pass before ya know it.

She is making the same mistake that Katrina made. Katrina was everywhere and miles ahead of every other actor (including DP) but then she sort of took it easy and now she is really in the background. DP shouldn't do this, for the sake of her own mental well being. Even after all the disasters in her personal life, she has maintained a little bit of sanity because of what her hard work has helped her achieve in the past few years. She is now taking it all for granted. Agreed that she must be really tired and needs a break but no release at all is not a break but a disaster. There is a reason why people like Akshay/Salman have lasted so many years. They've been working non-stop even after having great years. But these actors today (including Katrina and DP) start taking breaks only after a couple of years of major successes. Not everyone can me an Aamir. It is risky to even try to be Aamir. Not everyone has such keen script sense and fan following that they can deliver hits and get audience even after their absence from the audience memory for few years. It can go either way, why to risk a very well going career? It is easy to work hard to get to stardom, difficult to maintain it. You need to continue to work tirelessly for that, especially if you are an actress.
