SRK, Aamir & Salman will be happy to play homosexual characters

The trailer of National award winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta's latest directorial veture Aligarh"which features Manoj Bajpai in the role of a homosexual-- was launched earlier today. During the event, noted filmmaker Karan Johar was asked wehter big names such as Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman would be comfortable playing a homosexual character on the big screen. Responding to this question, the My Name is Khanhelmer stated that if the script was good and poignant, they would readily agree to do such roles.

"I hope that superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman and Aamir for that matter will totally engage a the film like this. They will sure breath through cinematically." said Karan.

Moreover, he also recalled the challenges faced by him while casting forMumbai Talkies. The film revolved around a married man who has homosexual tendencies. Interestingly, KJO's Dostana too had touched upon homosexuality albeit in a a comical way.

As far as Aligarh goes, it has already won several laurels at various film festivals and is slated to hit screens next month
