Karan Mehra, who plays one of the most loved characters on the small screen in his TV show, 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' is making headlines for his ouster from the show. However, the actor has gone ahead to deny the news.
Speaking to TV Times, Karan said, "I have been answering this question since morning. No, I am not going anywhere. I am not quitting the show. There is nothing as such as of now."
When probed further about him not being unhappy with the generation leap, he stated, "All these are stale news. Nothing of that sort is happening in the show. I am very much a part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai."

Karan Mehra, popularly known as TV's Naitik, is quitting the seven-year-long show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
A source says, "Now that the show has taken a time leap, Karan feels there is not much scope for his character. Also, he has issues with his co-actor Hina Khan, who plays his wife. The two have great chemistry on screen but have had issues since a long time now".

However, both Karan and producer Rajan Shahi deny the buzz. Karan says, "This is just speculation and I don't want to comment on it. Every year they say that I am leaving, but I am still here. I am not leaving the show right now." Shahi adds, "An actor has to tell me. I have no information as of now. Every year there are rumours that Hina is quitting the show, that Karan is leaving or that the show is ending. So I have no comments on this."
