It would be a waste of a master villain to turn D T into a born again Pundit.
D T asking Dhaani to keep the fast I think was CV's way to have Dhaani near the jungle to save D T.
D T's whole concentration was on finding out what Kanak was up to and he was in such a hurry that when his car broke down he ran after Kanak not knowing the trap that was waiting for him.
Even after he was pulled out from the ditch he seemed discombobulated and was seen surprised to see the Aghoris.
D T seemed surprised to see Dhaani when she did show up so I do not think he laid a trap for her and his apology to Dhaani seemed genuine but you will notice as soon he was looked after he had his old look back and he lied about why he was in the jungle in the first place.
D T knows he was set up by Kanak and recognized her Nautanki about her worrying for him.
We will have to wait and see who he goes after first Kanak or Tripurari.
Who will be the one to help D T to do his dirty work now since Tripurari is his new target and we know the Maha Pundit does not dirty his hands he needs a new lackey.
So the answer to your query... Will D T redeem himself... I say not likely.
