that's exactly my point. A mukut was not a mere headgear or accessory in those times. It was a symbol of their etiquettes and royal lineage. The CVs should have paid attention to this detail as wellOriginally posted by: ..RamKiJanaki..
Whatever may be the original intention of coming to Mithila, Ram and Lakshman would need to wear a mukut during the swayamvar, because they were royal princes. Proper royal etiquette dictates that a mukut must be worn by royalty at all times, except when alone, or in the presence of family members and teachers. A mukut was a sign of dignity and respect, and for a royal prince or King to be seen in public without it would have been considered the highest impropriety, and also a sign of disrespect for one's roots.
Ram most definitely had a mukut during Sita swayamvar. Whether CVs want to show Ashish with it or not is their choice, as per the research they chose to do, but to be shown without it is a big historical error.
