Ram not wearing a mukut during swayamvar?

One thing that's looking the oddest to me in all the swayamvar videos being shared is that Ram is not wearing a mukut and is bare-headed. His look is looking incomplete without the mukut and really undermines such an important event. Ram was wearing a mukut in the promo and the whole setup was looking so amazing but I am really not liking the actual sequence now.

Is it just me or someone also feels the same way?

well yaah that can be a possible explanation but I just loved him in the mukut and wanted him to look ever bit the Royal prince that he is when he finally becomes Siya ke Ram.

i definately prefer him without the crown

Whatever may be the original intention of coming to Mithila, Ram and Lakshman would need to wear a mukut during the swayamvar, because they were royal princes. Proper royal etiquette dictates that a mukut must be worn by royalty at all times, except when alone, or in the presence of family members and teachers. A mukut was a sign of dignity and respect, and for a royal prince or King to be seen in public without it would have been considered the highest impropriety, and also a sign of disrespect for one's roots.

Ram most definitely had a mukut during Sita swayamvar. Whether CVs want to show Ashish with it or not is their choice, as per the research they chose to do, but to be shown without it is a big historical error.

that's exactly my point. A mukut was not a mere headgear or accessory in those times. It was a symbol of their etiquettes and royal lineage. The CVs should have paid attention to this detail as well

I guess he would wear it when they get married...

I think they werent plannng to participate in the swayamver and hence didnt turn out in the royal finery.. personally i like the non mukut look alot more than the mukut look in the promo... i think it puts siya ke ram apart from the regular mythological shows
