Why cvs never explored Shambu character?

Thanks Viji! Lot of things should been shown, explored more, cvs missed some nice lighter moments involving the father and son duo. This turned out to be an unrequited expectation. Shambu's death really was a sudden end, he didn't even have any last minute dialogues, sadly. Dont know why the good characters are ended like this but the bad ones will be lingering throughout the show till end.

Viplav and Shambu's character was never explored i guess mainly because of Drashant and his mother.

Both DT and K T had a poor relationship with Shambu. And both Viplav's grandfather and mother were very possessive of him.

Viplav's Daadi surely seem to have a good relationship and Viplav himself loved to spend time with his grandfather and his grandmother.

I have a feeling that Shambu's character was a short one from the beginning because I think Kanak becoming a widow was written from before.

And Shambu was a timid husband as well as a soft spoken man who was easily bullied by his wife and father.

But by dying Shambu seemed to have shocked both his wife and father who are now most probably regretting their treatment of Shambu.

Kanak because she has to don the proverbial "White Sari" and D T because he has lost a son that he ignored all his life.

HI sudha, interesting post.. well as far as I recall, viplav had a soft spot for his babba..shambu put his foot down ,when it came to viplav's marriage.. he said viplav would marry the girl he fancies.. there was a funny scene where viplav does impersonations and his father went along and enjoyed his son's jokes.. viplav always hated when his harridan mother picked on his dad..what ever happened.. VIplav had affection for his father.. if he hadn't then all his mourning to date would be irrelevant..But you are right , as a character he was for all purposes kept as the underdog , so that DT and KT could emerge as larger characters..

Good post Sudha.

I think the actor has another show in which he plays a bigger role..so like Shubhangi who plays Durga.. he too disappears in many episodes. Also many ppl don't discuss things with less thinking ppl ..like Shambhu.

I guess the actor who played Shambhu wanted to quit the show, since there was barely any scenes, where he had something interesting to do or say. I was wondering for a long time, why they didn't give him some scenes with his daughter or with Viplav.

Shambu character sketched in a way what they are showing ...

How a man is making impact after his death (This is his silent character ) , No one gave response when he was alive , however how he is making every one to realize after his death ..

This is all about value of Zero - Aaadhi adoor santhan - (How family is treaing disabled characters ) and how this character making impact and showing a road way journey to othrs after his death
