Ranbir and Varun didn't deserve any awards?

Everyone predicted Kangana, priyanka, Deepika and Ranveer would get awards. But most people admit Tamasha and Badlapur should have got Ranbir and Varun some awards too? Both were mind-blowing performances. But they were ignored by the jury in all award shows.

Why is that? Discuss.

Varun was amazing in Badlapur, I can't believe he didn't win more awards... I never saw Tamasha so can't comment on Ranbir

varun n rk were exceptional in badlapur n tamasha resp. tbh veer is being highly over-rated veer was good in parts only in BM

Only one actor and actress can win the main award, it wud be great if they cud give everyone an award coz they all did gud performances, but that's not how awards work

Ranveer deserved the best actor award for 2015

I'm sure varun will get the award in the future, rk has already won best actor twice

Both Ranbir (Tamasha) & Varun (Badlapor) better than Ranveer (BM). But, Ranveer voted more than them. So, Ranveer won. Most of awards is combination of votes & Jury. That why SRK always won the Best Actor, I mean almost ,even critics didn't like his movie.

Actually, I think SRK won best actor at FIFA as I knew Salman actually won best actor (popular) at Guild Award. But, both seems don't want any award anymore. I mean, don't care about awards anymore

if alia can get critics award for highway..varun also deserved it for badlapur..only movie of his where i could bear him and loved his acting..it was a total transformation and he nailed it there

but when the likes of kangana, irfan konkona were brutally ignored by filmfare..i don't feel so sorry for varun

ranbir didn't deserve any awards..he was strictly okay..deepika was the star of tamasha

Varun was obviously ignored just as Bajrangi was for major awards

No worried at the end of the day Varun is bigger star and they say fans are bigger awards for celebs

Agree. Haven't seen Tamasha so can't comment on Ranbir but Varun deserved more recognition for Badlapur. 😭 But anyway it is what it is, in the grand scheme of things awards aren't that important.

I think people are blaming the wrong guy here. Ranveer won the award in popular category. Naturally given the amount BM collected makes him the winner over the other two. People watched the movie more and appreciated his work more.

Now when we talk about critics award yes I would like to point out that Varun and Ranbir lost to a veteran actor whose most mediocre job will get him an award just on the grounds of seniority
