Kim Sharma's Chloe handbag,worth Rs 1 lakh, was stolen. But a good friend cheered her up by getting an identical bag for her within four days.(What a good friend!)
Recently, Kim Sharma went poorer by Rs 1,06,000 but one of her close friends (not from the industry) ensured that she recovers Rs 1,00,000.
Last week, Kim's expensive Chloe handbag worth Rs 1,00,000 was stolen at Bandra, while she was busy chatting with her friend. She was very upset. To make her feel good, that same friend gifted her the same handbag after four days - of course, minus the Rs 6,000 cash which she was carrying.
A friend of Kim tells us, "Kim bought the bag in New York last year and it was worth Rs 1 lakh. It was her favourite bag. She would carry the bag on special occasions. That day, she hadn't carried her credit card but had cash worth a little more than Rs 6,000."
When contacted, Kim said, "My friend and I were standing outside a building in Bandra waiting for another friend to join us. We had decided to go out that day and I had parked my car about 20 metres away from where we were standing and waiting for the other friend to join us."
Kim blames it on herself. "It was entirely my fault. I had left my handbag in the car but hadn't locked it. I knew that we would be back in a minute or two. When we returned, the handbag was gone," she revealed.
She, however, is very grateful to the friend who replaced the bag. She said, "I don't know how to thank my friend. I owe it to him. He took the trouble to order it from Dubai. I don't know how I'll pay him back," Kim added.
