Sonu Nigam to get wax statue at Madame Tussauds

After stalwarts of the film industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan received this honour, it is now time for the first Bollywood artist, who is not a film actor, to have the honour of being immortalised in wax at the prestigious Madame Tussauds museum in London. The popular playback singer is the first from his field of work to be waxed.

Sonu did try his hand at acting in films like Love in Nepal and Jaani Dushman: EK Anokhi Kahani, but his real talent lay in his voice. A source close to the singer reveals in an article in Mumbai Mirror, "Sonu was approached last December, they're expected to arrive in a month to decide on his look and measurements. He is waiting for work on his next album to get over before he focuses on this."

Bollywood's leading playback singer is reported to become India's first non-actor to have a wax statue.

Ofcourse not..I never meant current popularity bt madame tussauds has worldwide popular people waxed n I heard dere is a voting n opinions of guests r taken into consideration while selecting who is to b waxed..So its somewhat related to popularity ..may b I m underestimating him 🤔
