Shah Rukh Khan had earlier said there is "extreme intolerance" in India, creating a furore.

Following controversies over his comment on intolerance, Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan on Monday said he won't answer any question on political and religious matters.

"Unfortunately because of the reactions I get when I answer something political or religious, I don't think I will answer this question," Khan said on Monday when asked to comment on cancellation of Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali's concert in Mumbai. Ali is now scheduled to perform in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Khan had earlier said there is "extreme intolerance" in India, creating a furore. He had later apologised. He had said the controversy also affected the collections of his latest film 'Dilwale'.

During a programme to launch the 'Shades of Bengal' book by Nerolac Paints, he also avoided answering the question related to reduction of his security cover by the Mumbai Police. Khan quipped saying he missed the constables as they used to bring food for him.

"I miss them. Sometimes I give them a call to ask about their well-being. They used to take food for me and we used to eat 'puri' and rice together," he added.

A significant number of the Indian population proved everything Shahrukh said was correct.

& a sister who appears on his behalf in court while he is busy w/ hair weaving & numerous plastic surgeries!!!

ALL Khan's fans are also very intolerant 😉

Waiting for Dangal , when not only Bhakats but other Indians including his OWN fans, who got hurt by Mr perfectionist's statement, will boycott his movie 😆

Thank god for finally realising it Mr khan, you better keep quiet unless you are a certain khan who can get away with anything because of some licking habbits 😛 or those non-khans who are nowadays showing their affiliation to a certain political party to earn the support and deshbhakti medal - this is called behti ganga me haath dhona 😆

Lol at people cribbing about him not saying anything controversial , another missed opportunity to stir things at eid time 😆
