25 October 2007 (Sawf News) - A regular day at the spa...manicure moments. Well, furiously punching away on the keyboard, getting these words across, takes its toll on our nails. So who do we bump into there? First Sridevi and then Sonam Kapoor! Must say Sridevi…what is she late forties?...is fitter than any fiddle we've come across. Psst…she's got really ugly feet, we admit but she was so completely unpretentious and down to earth - we say give everyone ugly feet if it means making them that nice. Anyhow, after a while a supremely skinny girl walks in and all the staff coo and twitter around her. Even Sridevi is warmly indulgent, we're like, who's she? Seriously, a woman san makeup isn't necessarily the best or most recognizable version of herself, especially if she's a debutante superstar in the making. Well, she refers to Sridevi as Srichachi and wham! Got it figured. This is Sonam Kapoor, Anil's daughter! She complains about how tired she is, shooting this promotional thing, attending that publicity thing and so on. Poor child! Has one nail in urgent repair before she has to fly out to Hyderabad for more work. She tells Sridevi that the last time she was at the spa all that the staff wanted to know about was Sridevi. Sridevi smiled warmly and artfully deflected the compliment back to her. Oh and super pssst…..Sridevi was saying she really didn't know how to manage shooting and child care, she feels she wouldn't be able to do either justice together!! She did the Malini Iyer TV bit, but it wasn't nearly as enjoyable when she factored her guilt of lack of attention to her two daughters in. Now this former superstar is a rocking Mama Superstar! Ever the conversation follower, this is when Sonam chirps up about how much weight she needs to lose still. Hello! This twig legged scrawny girl who weighs 58kgs but insists she must make it 55, has collar bones jutting out of her that you could use to pick a piece of spinach out of your teeth! Okay, so clearly she's a bit preoccupied with her weight. She started off at 90kgs before she was offered the role in Saawariya. With every kilo of weight she lost since then for the film, she appears to have picked up some obsessive tendencies from her mentor Sanjay Sir! Complete actress in the making, is she?

Well, if her tenacity with her calorie content is any indication we've got ourselves another consummate professional in the making! Hey, hang on; is this industry big enough to have two Aamir Khans?

Don't you guys find it worrying that Sonam wants to lose more weight! In my opinion she looks great as she is and if she lost anymore weight she would look so frail considering she's tall as well!

It's reported that before Saawariya she weighed 14st.....but i don't think she was overweight or fat (14st is not too bad for someone over 5ft9)......although i'd like to see the 'before' pics.......she must weigh about 9st now, and she wants to lose another stone when she doesn't need to!

Well, the first thing, this writer should be selling newspapers and magazines instead of writing for them....a journalist is supposed to be 'objective' and 'well-versed'. It's a horrible piece of writing which is derogatory to both Sridevi and Sonam...

This word-class idiot is talking as though being skinny and not having Aishwarya/Madhuri feet is a crime. 😡 .....

Sonam is perfect the way she is....she doesn't need to lose any weight.
