" Madhav, are you sure she's all right now?" Parth asked anxiously to his madhav. It's been two weeks since Arjun came with Subhadra in Indraprastha. None knew what magic did subhadra cast, the queen agreed and accepted them. Draupadi did the aarti, and was present till the munh dikhayi. And after that, she shutted herself off to her room. She didn't even let anyone come to her room except her children, the newly wedded Subhadra, Kunti, her maids, Priyamvada, and of course Madhav. In one word, she didn't let ARJUN to even come near her. She showed her anger, she disappointment everytime. And till then Arjun is trying to hang around her. He knew that his queen is not so ice like case. She's very hard to melt. After all she's the queen!
"Madhav, I know Krishnaa is not going to melt soon. What to do now? I'm sure that she's unlike other princesses who'll fall for me instantly"
" Yes, Parth. My Krishnaa is not going to blow off easily. Don't forget she's Yagyaseni. Your one look swept off my sister's feet, even the warrior princess of Manipur, the naga princess swore to die if don't marry to her; but Krishnaa is fire-born, unlike others. When she didn't outburst her emotions like all crazily, even after staying so close to you for a long time, don't think she's gonna go gaga so easily, Parth!"
" That means she maybe don't love me anymore!"
" Uff parth again your negative conclusions! Enough of it now! The Lord gives pain a person to that much which he can bear. Not more than that. Draupadi have the strengh not show her love publicly, also not to show her anger and pain publicly. She is firm in her place. You and I can't know her inner turmoil. That's the exception. She must be feeling cheated now.
" Should I try again? Or she'll be more upset!"
" Try it once, Parth. Don't forget you both don't have that much time. Try to console her." Then it struck to his mind that he doesn't have time.
" Yes , Madhav! I don't have time! How can I forget that I have only 1 year!"
" 3 years, Parth!"
" Oh yeah yeah, 3 years only! Now I have to break her at any cost! "
" Go, Parth! Best of luck!" Madhav winked. And taking a deep breath, he marched towards his Queen's chamber.
The room had no light. All the curtains were off. A light diya was burning at one side of the room making an illustrious light in the room. The room only vibrated the continuous sobbing of the owner of the room, Panchali.
" Why such a cheat Mahadev! Was all the promises meant to be broken! Have I got more pain or all these are only a few of more to come in my life! Was it now left only to share him when I'm shared already!" Draupadi thought while shedding tears continously. It's been a common affair for the room nowadays.
" How I thought of our year would be! But all in vain. Instead of shringar, I have to do aarti and tilak! O' Lord of heavens; is this only my fate? Are only struggle and pain destined for me? Are all pains and weird situations only meant for me!"
"No Krishne!" A voice answered.
" Krishne, you are not destined for pain. Pain is destined for everyone, for my, you, every being of the world. Keshav says na, pain is only given to those who can bear this! And those who can bear all pains can only stand firm in this cyclone of life!" Arjun saw a face with red eyes with lots of pain in them and wet cheeks in result of those red eyes.
"How you'll know, Swami? That what I've to bear! I'm feeling weight of more than the Kailash Parvat in my heart. I may not stand in this cyclone of life, Swami!"
" Why are you saying like this Panchali! Don't I know your pain? Your every pain pinches me!"
" If you had known, then you wouldn't have broken the promise, Swami!"
" I know it, and I'm sorry!" Arjun tried to come near Yagyaseni.
" Stay away from me swami! One sorry can't soothe my pain! Aren't doors of Subhadra's chambers open tonight? Go and get your love of life there. I'll be cursed by Subhadra in blame of snatching her Lord. I have bore enough now don't want any curse!" Draupadi said with trembling lips.
" No, Krishnaa! Don't say like that!"
" Only keshav have the right now to call me with that name. I have fulfilled my duties as a queen and wife. Now let me be a woman only. I am craving for it. Let me be alone."
" Even I want to be, Krishne. I have done my duties as a warrior, senapati, brother, son and a man. Let me be a husband only Krishnaa! Only you can do it. Let US be alone."
" You have done enough swami! You have Subhardra for that. Previous knot has loosened. Now tighten the new one's."
" Then why did you welcomed her?"
" Because I can't see any woman suffering for me! It will pain me. Govind will feel bad. And now you can have also company. You don't need me now. "
" No krishne, I'll die without you!"
" Then what do you think of me, Arya! I'm also dying each and every moment seeing subhadra with YOU! It feels pain, Arya! Now you don't need me at last. By your grace, I have four more to take care" Arjun was shattered hearing those words from Draupadi. He couldn't even imagine his Panchali like this. He knew she was hurt, but in such extend! He went on knees not bearing the words.
" Yes, Panchali, how can I forget, you have four more, by my grace or silence only. They can take care." He said with broken voice. As if now Indradev showing his play in his Ansh's eyes. Tears rolled down from his eyes. He remembered his Madhav's words," Draupadi have the strength not show her love publicly, also not to show her anger and pain publicly. She is firm in her place. You and I can't know her inner turmoil. She much be feeling cheated now." He remembered his Madhav. " Yes, Madhav. I didn't even knew an inch of her inner turmoil. She is feeling cheated and IS cheated, Madhav. I can't forgive myself. " There was an awkward silence in the room. Wiping his tears off, he said,
" They care for you, Panchali. For THEIR sake, at least come out of your hibernation. They'll feel good."And hearing arjun's words, the next moment she regretted her words. But can words be taken back! They are like arrows; once shot can never come back... Draupadi said with a broken voice-
"A... And you, Swami?"
" What about me, you don't need me now. Perhaps it was my mistake. I have regretted. I thought that you would've gone through the same pain as mine. But I was wrong. I thought I would be able to take MY queen back to me, but I was also wrong here. Now let me go. Thank you for gracing me with the word Swami. It feels good to hear from your lips."
" Swa...Swami?" Arjun walked away from there with broken heart. The room was little lightened when the ray of light came, but then again went off as Arjun went back and shut the door.
" Krishnaa!! What you did!! You shouldn't have said all these! Hadn't you sworn to keep it to yourself!! Don't you know how sensitive he is!!! What to do now! Now you need to make him guilt free! What you just did! God!"
She slapped her forehead. " What you'll do now!"
Arjun came to practicing arena like a cyclone. He ordered everyone to go away. He never had ordered in such a harsh way. When everyone left, he started shooting arrows; in anger, in guilt, in pain.
" Parth?" Madhav asked Arjun. No answer came. There were only sounds of arrows in the walls.
" You will gain nothing being angry, Parth!" Again only silence prevailed.
"Parth!" Madhav entered the arena. He saw all the walls pierced with arrows all around. Arjun saw his Madhav coming into the arena. He said in a broken voice,
" Do you see those walls pierced? Do you? That is the state of my mind. I did mistake, Madhav. May be I lost her forever... She's so close to me, yet I can sense thousands of distance between us, Madhav! Which I may never be able to cross!" Arjun broke. He couldn't stand and went of his knees before his Lord.
" Words can't describe our minds, Parth. The way you can't express to her what you are feeling, you don't have words for it, or maybe such word is never created to express; She even don't have such words to express her. These was all her frustration, pain of all her long life, which came like words to you. In actual, she even doesn't have any such word to express her state. That's why you felt those words harsh. Don't take it to heart, Parth. You should be grateful to her that she gave you that place to express her! Only few people on earth gets such chance to know one from heart, Parth. Her all life long burden is now light, Parth. Don't be disheartened, and wait for tomorrow! Who knows what's in store for tomorrow!"
" How, Madhav! She said that she doesn't need me now!" And a pearl from his eyes shredded thinking those words.
"She must've felt the same when you came with Bhadre! She also must've thought, now you don't need her anymore. But you only know what you meant. Even she only knows what she really meant with those words. You know her well; she is expressive as oceans. She only exposed her real self to you!"
" Now what this means, Madhav!" Arjun said with a not little, very big confusion in his eyes.
"You just wait for tomorrow. I'm sure she didn't mean it. You just see."
" Are you sure, Madhav?"
" Just believe in me, Parth! You'll see your way with your believe. Belief have a big strength!" Again Parth confused him with human and divinity.
NEXT EVENING...
" Parth, won't you go to Panchali today? " Madhav asked Parth. Birds were flying to their nest as last rays of Sun were touching and spreading across the blue field of Creation. The sky was looking like a violet velvet cloth with the mixture of blue and red. Parth was worshipping his Gandiva by polishing it as usual.
" She won't let me come, Madhav. Leave it. "
" How to leave it! You know she wants your attention!"
" And I'm giving it for past 2 weeks..." Arjun answered immediately while polishing his Gandiva with utmost attention.
" Parth, women takes time in everything. Be it in Shringar, or making decisions. You know, she wants just another apology, just another step from you. Or maybe, you get in return! Try just one more time."
" No, Madhav. I've understood. It's fruitless."
" Just for me, please go!"
" Arjun now looked at his Madhav saying, " Why do always exaggerateyourself! You know, everyone is right, you always do prapanchs and even I get stuck to it like a fool! Arjun sulked. " This time I won't!!!"
"Haww! Now what's about prapanch here! Can't you try one more for me! I'm saying for your good only! These women are tough things to handle. you never know what's going on their mind in next second!If you leave them for more time, or ignore, they'll sulk more. Go once more!"
Arjun looked at his madhav in confusion; as if wanting surity. Madhav kept his hands on his shoulders giving assurity and said, "Parth, just believe my words. Just believe me, and go." Arjun sighed and again went towards the room, and ready for another fire arrow.
MEANWHILE IN DRAUPADI'S CHAMBER...
"Is he really angry? Hey Ram, how could I say those words! What should I do now! Will he ever come to me? Now he won't ever look at me! Your life is failure, Krishnaa!" Draupadi thought while untying her locks. A dorp of water dripped from her eyes thinking for lifetime seperation. Those drops were glittering with the glow of the moon. Cold breeze was passing down making the curtains dance in their tunes. " Daasis, go now. and blow off the candles." Draupadi ordered. Soon the room had none except her and light of the full moon. Soon a voice of soldier came saying about the entrance of Indraprastha senapati, Dhananjaya. Her heart began to beat faster than the wind. She immediately went to the balcony to cover her teary face.

"Will she ever listen to me? Or like previous day, she's still angry? Yes Arjun, you had fault. And now suffer! But how can I console her? Or make her understand? Again say sorry, you behaved rudely yesterday. Even she must be hurt. Madhav is always right. Remember him, and enter the fire ring..." Arjun was making threads of thought in his mind. He was so busy in it, he didn't even remember that he had reached Queen's chamber. He ordered the soldiers to go away from that area. And silently entered the room. The room was looking bright with the glow of full moon; so was the flame. Draupadi was looking ravishingly gorgeous with a off-white one piece robe and open hair. Her curly locks were coming near her hips; and dancing with the winds. The fragrance of blue lotus were spread throughout the room. The fragrance of white roses of the room and blue lotus made the whole room palace of intoxication. But Dhananjaya was neither getting any of these senses. All his desires were overpowered by the guilt in him. He slowly went towards his flame and kept his artistic hands on her bare shoulders. His one touch was enough to get thrills in her. He slowly turned her face against his. He was astonished saying tears on her face. Those tears were not those which he saw previous day; even he didn't knew why were those tears. He gathered all courage and said
"I'm sorry"
"I am sorry" To both their wonders, they said it together! And both were confused.
"Why?"
"Why?" This time this coincidence made a curve in both their face. "Okay, first you say." Arjun said.
" I... I am sorry for previous day's behavior, Parth..." She downcast her eyes in guilt and a drop of tear fell on Arjun's foot. "I know, I hurt you a lot. I shouldn't have said those. Those were only mine."
" No, Panchali. I'm sorry. I couldn't understand you. I don't deserve your sorry. "
"I... I'm sorry..." She was silenced with the lips.
" Shhh, not a single word now. We're even; you said, I said. Let silence prevail now." Arjun dragged her closer. She enveloped perfectly in his huge arms. The moonlight was increasing in the room. Slowly both their lips met, with a wait of long 12 years. The heat was increasing with passing time. They enveloped each other; completed each other.
"Today you conquer, the conqueror, i'll not interrupt.I'm the Queen, and you're the king. I'm your's only. Once, and forever." Draupadi submitted her in that light. And the whole universe again witnessed the reunite of Shiv and Shakti...
