ok we more or less know everything about Lord Rama and Janaki nandan Sita...but we never come across to know the figure who is somehow is left over ...
Do you know..Raavana was not as evil as he had been potrayed till now...in many films and TV seires...infact is evilness was scummed over his pride and prejudice...
l
Pride--that he is most powerful most knowlegeble in this entire world...

Prejudice --that no one in this entire world can defeat him in everyfield and also ..that besides him all humans are nothing but all are tiny little ants...

But--the entire Sita haran kand is based on the actual fact that sita rejected Ravaan proposal...not proposal it was a pride proposal which will aired tonight...with sita rejected that to in a very calm and composed maaner this aggigated Raavan more and he become adamant to make sita her wife...

but point to be noted that-----inspite of kidnaaping Sita raavan never touch sita even he had never wished too ..because his only motive is to make sita realise her fault ...and also he wanted to test ram because he was highly shaken...after one by one his prejudice was breaking but as pride over everything till the last moment of his defeat he was not ready to accept the fact...but at last...had to give up...

He was a adamant disiple of Lord Shiva...inspite of that as human he had to go on path of worldly...illusions ..which results in his degradation day by day..

and also last but not the least...

the mst important fact is that ---''when Raavan was about to take his last breathe it was Lord rama who orderd Lakshman to go and touch the feet of raavan and tried to become scholar like him''.

NO doubt how cruel how nasty can raavan be but the fact is that he was almost the best scholar in that trita age as far of human race is concerned..

If see like this so we will able to see that tough there is no words to say about lord Rama the epitome--of courage...chastity ,,calmness .composed and so on.. divne and simple character ever

and Sita--the epitome of-----A perfect wife,,,daughter and moreover a scholar...calm composed and highly intelligent...simple and glorious...

we will find Raavana---the most dimensional figure ever...

it is easy to decode lord Rama and maa Sita but it is hard to decode Raavana...

because we find a number of dimension into him...

one moment we find him whom we are unable to digest...and at one moment we cant help in praising him..

so bassicaly...Raavan symbolises all those who are just responsible for his own destruction...

no maater what pride always lead to path of destruction no maater how much scholar how much...powerful u are...it always lead to make ur life disastarious..😊

Let Hope how they potray Raavana in SKR ...

Jain accounts vary from the Hindu accounts of Ravana. Ravana was called Dasamukha (ten-headed one) because when he was young, his mother gave him a necklace made of nine pearls. She could see his face reflected ninefold. Hence, he was named thus. He was a Vidyadhara King having magical powers. Also, as per the Jain version of Ramayana, Ravana is killed byLakshmana and not Rama in the end.

The Ravanahatha was played on one string which was 22 inches long encompassing the 3 Octaves. Whereas the Violin encompasses the 3 octaves on 4 strings with a finger board which is 5 1/4 inches long. This 5 1/4 when multiplied by 4 is 21 inches which was the size of the Ravan Hatta. Both are played with a bow.[

Descendants
The Dave Brahmins of Mudgal Gotra, Jodhpur/Mandor who were originally from Gujarat, Indiaclaim to be the descendants of Ravana. The say that since time immemorial they are performing the shraddh (death anniversary) of Ravana on Dashehra Day every year. They offer pind daan and take a bath after that ritual. They recently erected a Ravan temple in Jodhpur, India where daily puja is performed.

Yep he had many great qualities but lacked the most important quality which is self control. He could not control his anger, his envy, his greed, his lust and most importantly his gigantic ego. That is what led to his eventual downfall.

Indrajit was killed by Lakshman and Ravan was killed by Ram. It's just that when Ravan was on his deathbed, Ram told Lakshman to get knowledge from him because Ravan was knowledgeable, and such knowledge shouldn't go to waste.
